Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is in depth, detailed and the faculty is great, they introduce topics as they are supposed to. All the faculties are PhD holders and research professionals too. Exams are in 2-3 months frequency and require consistent efforts to pass
Internships Opportunities
Students from 2nd year onwards apply for internships, and are offered good positions, they take their opportunities to develop practical knowledge on data science and industrial skills. Almost everyone who apply for internships are offered positions.
Placement Experience
Students can apply for placements after bachelors. But mostly do after masters, every student who applied for placements is placed, but a lot of students opt for PhD programs instead. All top companies like JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley come for placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course is completely free of cost, stipend is also provided to students. Only hostel and mess fees is required. ISI also has a 100% placement record. Many of the students also opt for masters and PhD.
Campus Life
There is only one annual fest. The library is huge, 3 floors filled with lot of books and knowledge. Classrooms are fine, there are TT tables, football ground, badminton court for sports. There are no social clubs as such.
Admission
All 12th standard pass students having more than 60% marks in Maths and English can apply. Application forms and details can be found in the website www.isical.ac.in . Standard reservation policies are applied. A written test in two parts and an interview is conducted, the admission process is tough, rigorous and perfect in its own kind.
