Must say that our college management is best in every aspect from lab to placement moreover our teachers show interest in overall management.

Entrance Preview

I took coaching of IIT JEE in bansal classes for 3 years and given exams of IIT JEE and AIEEE i got 18000 rank in AIEEE now its the time for counselling and i didn't got any college in three round in the fourth round comes my chance to choose NIT meghalaya i had knowledge of basic computer languages that i had learnt in my senior classes and this encourages me to take CSE branch.

Course Curriculum Overview

With an exception of few most of the other professors are quite good they are all well qualified and are fairly helpful most of them are for that matter unbiased and quite friendly. The courses offered by our college are computer Science & Engineering civil Engineering electrical & Electronics Engineering electronics & Communication Engineering mechanical Engineering humanities & Social Sciences physics chemistry mathematics faculty members of this institute are too awesome. They teach us deeply by giving live examples and always focuses on all round development of an individual.

Internships Opportunities

Tata consultancy Services, IBM India Pvt Ltd, Power Grid Corporation Ltd, L&T Construction etc are few of the companies generally in our college stipend for internship is 12000 after internship we have lab in which we have to share our internship projects with our classmates.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since it is an government institute the tuition fee is nominal plus there are scholarships for the poor and needy students who have their family's annual income less than 2 lakh INR.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships of 35000 INR is also available to the top 3 students of each branch PLUS,reserved candidates can also avail scholarships which depends upon their category.

Exam Structure

The laboratories werent very good initially with the students having to go to IIT Guwahati or other nearby colleges due to lack of infrastructure. Now the issue has been sorted out and students say that the laboratories are now good, with all the equipm

campus placements are okay, it is improving over time... averagely people get placed at 7-8 lpa and some people get placed at 12lpa. Many students go for off campus placements and there they perform very well. students have secured 22- 28lpa off campus.

A Glimpse Into Life At NIT Meghalaya

Placement Experience:

In the 6th semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. There are many companies who want the 7th-semester student to sit in their placement process. The name of the companies are as follows: Infosys 4 offers L&T 5 offers Google 2 offers POWERGRID 2 offers Etc Approximately 71 % of students got placement in many companies. I will do farming after getting my degree.

Placement Experience:

Yes placement's are there because it's a NIT From 3rd semester you are eligibile to apply for internship and from 7 sem you are also eligible for campus placements Many companies visit our campus for the placements some famous names of coma pansies are adobe amazon flipkart Mahindra infosys tata black rock etc and the no of offers made differ each year but the average of offers remains 150plus Highest package of our college is 51 LPA Which is bagged by a cs girl this year from Amazon and the average package also differ by the branches but for mechanics and cs branch a the average package is as good as 10LPA Percentage of students greeting placed is very good for the mechanical and cs branch like 95% placements are there and for others branches also 70% placements is there So placements is not a big issue in this college ???? My plans are simple Mai have to maintains a good ointer to be eligible for campus placements and get a good job and settle in life

The campus of the university is overall average. We get packages around 10 LPA but mostly students opt for heigher studies as only 10 -20 percent of students successfully get placed My plans are for masters in technology after the degree . Due to recession the campus placements are not that good like earlier years. This year the Highest package was offered by Amazon to only one student of CSE department. The package was offered 43 lacs per annum. Rest of the students got a package of 12-15 lacs per annum. The average package was 6-8 lacs per annum. The overall percentage of placement was nearly 88 percent.

So as I tell this a government college particularly NIT so admission in this is done by giving a exam called JEE which is conducted by NTA twice in a year most commonly in January and April So after getting a good percentile in this JEE exam you are all ready for conselling done by JOSSA and CSAB Admission are done in these college according to your percentile and All India ranks The eligibility for this exam is you need to be 12 th pass with any recognised Baoard with 75% Cutoff for this exam you can find on inemternet as this a very popular exams given by 15Lac student every year and only 50thouasand student able to get seat So in counselling you have to fill colleges of tour choice and the counselling system allot you a college according to your performance in JEE exam I have fill some other nits like NIT GOA NIT JAIPUR NIT HAMIRPUR NIT NAGPUR but these are the college I didn't get because of my rank in jee exam All went that wrong is my preparation for the exam ???? A Totally Honest Review for those hoping to get enrolled in NIT Meghalaya

I didn't apply to any other college as I was solely focused in the present college. The admission process is quite long and rigorous with the main eligibility is passing the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) with required percentile and then enrollment in JOSAA/CSAB for getting enrolled in the college and later doing the needful for the admission in the college.
