- The college is located 10minutes away from the nearest bazar and 30minutes away from the main shopping area.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose medicine because I love helping others. There is enough faculty for 50 students, the number of seats is likely to increase soon in the coming years. Each student is known by face and name to the teachers and so interaction is very social and good. Every semester has its exam and it was easy to pass if you are attentive in class.
Internships Opportunities
We all had to do 1 year compulsory rotatory internship with compulsory rural posting. But it was awesome to be paid for the first time in life. We learned many procedures and treatments for many ailments. 5.5 years went away so fast.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is no scholarship from the college itself. The fees are very affordable. First year payment with refundable security deposit totals to Rs. 47600. Rest of the year is Rs.16600. This is including hostel fees. Mess fees are seperate. After passing final year, you get to do internship of Rs. 25000 per month stipend.
Campus Life
We have an annual college fest EUPHORIA conducted by the students themselves divided into different committees. Regarding books, there is a huge 3 floored library with computer and internet facilities and printing facilities. We have an indoor stadium to play basketball and badminton.
Hostel Facilities
Mess food is mediocre like anywhere. We used to share rooms in our first years but as you become senior, you get single rooms. Every student is given a bed, a cupboard, a table and a chair. Rooms are given first come first serve basis.
Admission
All MBBS students have to appear and get minimum 50% to qualify in NEET UG examination which is conducted around May yearly. Application form is availed at mcc official website. There is no category reservation which is good. Among the current 50 seats, there is reservation for states of Meghalaya(14) , Nagaland(10), Open to any Northeast states including Sikkim(18) and All India (Rest)
