Likes
- GLA University impresses with state-of-the-art college labs equipped with advanced technology. The cutting-edge equipment not only enhances the learning experience but also provides students with hands-on opportunities, fostering practical skills cru
Dislikes
- A drawback I find is the absence of leaves and a tight schedule. The limited flexibility in terms of time off impacts work-life balance. A more accommodating approach to leaves and a more balanced schedule could greatly improve the overall experience
Course Curriculum Overview
Choosing the computer science branch offers the opportunity to delve into the dynamic and rapidly evolving field of technology, enabling me to explore innovative solutions, contribute to advancements, and be at the forefront of shaping the future.
Placement Experience
GLA University boasts an impressive 86% placement rate, attracting renowned companies such as TCS and Accenture. The placement drive kicks off in the 7th semester, offering students opportunities with diverse firms over the course of three years.
Fees and Financial Aid
GLA University provides a cost-effective option compared to other universities, and the added advantage of Uttar Pradesh government scholarships for students achieving an 8 CPI further enhances its affordability, making education accessible and economical for aspiring students.
Campus Life
The college boasts abundant facilities, multiple labs, and more than one library, allowing students to access books both online and offline anytime. However, a notable drawback is that the engineering course, while completed in a swift four months, is charged as a six-month course, posing a potential disadvantage in terms of cost efficiency.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel offers 24-hour Wi-Fi access; however, there are occasional disruptions, which could potentially impact online exams. Additionally, the mess food is of average quality, and mobile network coverage within the hostel premises is inconsistent.
Admission
I took an online exam, and the cutoff for passing was declared as 60%. I passed, and since my PCM marks are high at 93%, I was awarded a scholarship of 30,000. I initially expected an offline exam, assuming that high-scoring students would be eligible for scholarships.
