GLA review by a first year.

I chose this course because I have interest in coding. Faculty student ratio is fine i guess. But I think quality to faculty can be better.. The midterm exams were pretty good...but the end term exams were really hard, as unlike midterm there was no gap in exams and even in practicals...students really had hard time passing difficult subjects like physics and maths...most of the students failed in physics examination.

It's average...form what I hear, it's pretty average...I don't have much to comment as I am still a first year. But from what I hear from upperclassmen, it's average some people do get a nice opportunity and some don't.

Talking about on campus placement...there are companies which come to university, recently people have got jobs at 18 lpa...my friend got 15 lpa at zypp company...and i think average package 6 lpa is also fine considering its a private university. I plan to get a on campus job if good package is offered, otherwise I will definitely try for off campus placement.

I think the fee is little too high considering the quality of education being provided, also considering everything like campus, all other facilities, I think fee is too high. Yes scholarship is there, but many are not eligible, also the college is not cooperating with students to fill there scholarship form provided by government correctly.

Every little fest is paid...unlike many universities...they demand amount like 500,300 rupees...many people belong to families which are financially weak...they are not able to afford this much charge. Central library is fine, but departmental library can be improved really well. Clubs are there but only hostlers get to enjoy the benifits of it...as day scholars have no time as the clubs starts after 6 pm. Like badminton club which I joined but being a day scholar i had to leave it due to timing issue.

You must have secured more than 50% average marks of PCM in 12 th standard for getting elegible for GLA entrance test. Then if you pass the test...you will have to submit 49000 within 7 days otherwise your admission will be cancelled, and no amount will be refunded. The improvement should be that they should limit the admission as there are less number of faculty, hostel, and other facilities than the number of students getting admitted...this also affect the no of students getting placed...and the classes always keep clashing.
