Course Curriculum Overview
I chose English as I have an inclination towards it from the very start. English department's faculty is very nice. The teachers are highly knowledgeable and provide efficient notes for the exams. As my college comes under Calcutta University, the passing rates are extremely poor as it's very strict when it comes to checking of papers and giving marks. One need to study from the start to maintain a good cgpa.
Internships Opportunities
Different departments have different internship programs. In English, we get internship in the areas like teaching, content writing etc. In BBA department, they get internships like one in Microsoft, Google etc. Overall the college will provide good internship opportunities for the students.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees depend on the course which you select. In English, the fees are minimal and anyone can afford it. My college provides variety of internship opportunities to gain skills and enhance your potential.
Campus Life
The best thing about my college is its Library. I love that place so much that I don't wanna come out of it. My college conducts many events but the most famous is the Umang which takes place every year in December. It's quite famous in Kolkata that even students from different colleges come to our college. There are different societies in our college such as flames which is for dance, enact is for acting and drama, Nss is for national service and many more.
Admission
There was no entrance exam. You get direct admission with your 12th percentage. The cut off for different courses are different. In English the minimum cut off was 75%. You will get the application form, application fees and dates in the college website. After your selection, you will get your campus login wherein you will pay your semester fees. As my college is a Gujarati college, there are reservations for Gujarati people.
