Course Curriculum Overview
The mechanical and mechatronics courses in this college provides a lot of placements. The faculty members are so friendly and their teaching is very good. For every 60 students there will be 2 faculty staffs who take care of them. The modal and CAT exams are a bit hard but the staffs will provide us certain notes to learn and that makes it easy.
Internships Opportunities
8 months after the first year of program CIT offers the summer internship program for the students during june or july month.During this time every students has to get an internship from the nearby industry or any other industries.
Placement Experience
The final year students that is from 7th semester students become eligibile for campus placements. But if you showed interest and perform very well there are chances to get placed even in the 3rd year or even from the second year end. The highest average package is 6 lakhs per annum and the highest package can go upto even 50 lakh per annum. Here in this college 100 % of the students will be placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure for Chennai Institute of Technology varies depending on the course. For example the annual fees structure for B Tech,BE and ME programs are 50000 rs.CIT provides merit based scholarship for students and the average salary package is 5lakh per annum and the highest salary can go upto 30 lakhs per annum depending upon how well you perform and how talented you are.
Campus Life
There are many cultural events in CIT , they will conduct events once or twice in a month. there will be a mass event during febyrary named takshasheela . Studebts can arrange everything for the event and get to know about that. There are also many sports like cricket,football ,badminton ,basketball etc. They will support you on all basis.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel is excellent and they will provide wifi connection for each room.Hostel mess is some what ok in taste.Hostel is available to students only for 3 years and for the final year hostel students should rent a home outside the campus.
Admission
The admission process for CIT varies depending on the level of study. For undergraduate engineering courses the admission process is conducted through TNEA exam which is administered by anna university. The selection process is based on the candidates performace in their class 12 exams. For postgraduate engineering courses, the admission process is based on the candidates GATE/TANCET scores and is conducted through the Tamilnadu Common Admikssions. We can also go through management quota.
