Likes
- Also there is no dress code of college. I generally wake up and go to classes even without bath.
- The timetable of iit kanpur is too good. I don't need to attent all classes continuously one after other.
Dislikes
- I don't like the hostel facilities provided here . Actually there are no washing machines which is in good condition to wash clothes.
- Since I am free to do anything here. I mostly waste my time and not study and then I feel guilty.
Course Curriculum Overview
Actually I want cs but my rank was not that much good so I get EE from kanpur . Faculty are highly qualified. They are too good. They pursue their degree from very big universities. Exams are not easy. Actually , there are quizes within 20 days of starting of semester. And level of exams is too difficult.
Internships Opportunities
Actually I am in first year so I don't have clarification on what type of tasks or projects are provided by companies . But I listened from my seniors that the one with good spi and having good skills get too much good intern. Interns are provided by companies like Zomato , Google , Microsoft etc.
Placement Experience
From the third year starting students become eligible for placements and intern. Large companies like Google , Microsoft ,Jane Street Zomato and many more big companies visit the campus every year . Approximately all students get placed. About 90 percent students get placed. In 2022 the highest domestic package offered was 4 crore rupees approx. I want to become a quant analyst.
Fees and Financial Aid
Ther are many scholarship available in the iits for SC ,ST , economically backward students and also for OBC students. From iits you can get good jobs with large packages . If you are not from CS branch and you have good skills you can easily get in IT sector. There are large number of scholarships available at campus.
Campus Life
There are three main feats in my college . Antaragni which is cultural fest , techriti that is a technical fest and udghosh that is a sports fest. Library of kanpur is one of the largest library in India. There are all types of books available in the library. AC facility is available in classrooms along with projectors. Iit kanpur provide a chance to get into every type of sports you want to get in. There are many clubs like robotics club, programming club and many websites run by students.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is good . There are two types of rooms for students in first year . Rooms with three people's living and rooms for two people's living. There are three meals in the mess breakfast , lunch and dinner . All the three meals are tasty and all variety of food is provided. Registration process for hostel is done through pingalla portal which is online website run by iit kanpur.
Admission
Clearing jee advance. Reservation is too much. Admission process is too much easy. After clearing jee we can easily apply for colleges by jossa. There is no need to give tution fee if you are from sc or st category. Also fees is 2 by three if annual income is less than a particular amount.
