An overall glimpse of the future

I would say that the syllabus is very vast but is properly defined so that is not much of a issue to prepare. One speciality i would like to mention is that the faculty is very helpful and friendly and is ready to assist you at any point of time. I opted for this course as i was always fascinated by the world of computers and it brings me closer to it. I would say that the number of faculty is very short in terms of students ratio and there are alot of new inexperienced faculties. The faculty is mixed and there are some highly experienced ones and there are some which i think should teach at a school level and not university but overall faculty is ok. For odd sems u get a alot of time between mids and ends but in even sems u don't get alot of time which is about 1 month.

For BCA, you get eligible for placements in the 5th semester and there are few companies that come for packages as big as 21 lakhs for bca students. The companies visited included dshaw, Infosys, and other mass recruiters. The highest package offered for bca was 21 lakhs by dshaw. The percentage of students getting a place is very low at 50 percent. I am preparing for the CAT exam but before taking admission I will work for at least a year.

I would say the fee is not that high and there are not much hikes in college fees but every year the hostel fee gets increased by 5000 rupees. You get soholarships base on your 12th and competitive exam and girl child basis. I don't know much about financial assistance as i didn't get any as my family is above poverty line but i have heard that u can get your fee reduced by mailing appropriate reason to higher authorities like chairman sir mr.kamal gunsola sir or chancellor sir. I am currently studying and in my second year of my graduation so i don't know much about placement but i have heard its hard to get as there are is a lot of rush within the university.

There are no tech fests held as of yet but there are on average 2 competitive coding competitions each year with huge prizes. There are 2 annual fests namely grafest(may) which is a huge 3 day one and big celebrities are called such as Ayushman Khurana and the second one is student grafest(oct) which is of 2 days and students from different branches of the University come and performance and win exciting prizes. The libraries are highly equipped with course books but not many books for non-course subjects. The classrooms are equipped with large digital boards and the lecture theatres have multiple screens and ac are there in Lts but not in classrooms. I am not a sports person so I don't know much about them but I heard there are plenty if you are talented. Yes, there are many clubs like NCC (credit unit),nss(NGO),papertech(arts),rangmanch(drama), swaragni(music), kavyanjali(poetry), etc.

The hostel is ok ok and u get a bed, an almirah, a study table along with 2 shelves and a side table and a chair. The mess food is edible in comparison to other universities but u will get bored of it after 2 weeks due to the same never-ending menu each week. Submit the fee in one bill and show the college enrollment proof and u will be given a hostel. I would say the hostel is overpriced and is not very affordable.

No there was not a proper admission process you just need to come to the university with the required documents and submit the fees and then you will be successfully enrolled for the course you choosed. There is no such eligibility criteria for the course of bca u just need to have a minimum of 60 percentage in 12th and should be pass in all subjects. I found all the details like application form, application fees and application dates on the official University website i.e. https://geu.ac.in . As i belong to general category i did not had any reservation benefits. The improvement i would like to suggest is different departments were far away in the university and you have to roam in the whole university for different parts of the process so that process should be centralized so the parents do not have to roam much.
