IIITA - a review

Personally chose the course due to an interest in Information Technology, which IIITA boasts to have one of the best programs in the country in. The Faculty to Student ratio is decent with 100 students in every section. Term exams tend to be on the more difficult side and teaching quality is decent.

Internships can be achieved from 2nd year and many companies such as Uber, Accenture, Sprinklr etc. give many opportunities to students. Internships are mostly given in 3rd year which can result in PPOs for 4th year.

Placement season begins in 4th year and IIITA boasts some of the best Average and Median Package out of Engineering colleges in our country with a huge 34 LPA average package in the 2022-23 season. 99% of eligible students are placed in a variety of companies.

Fees for the BTech course here compared to other colleges at a similar level is a bit on the lower side. But this year saw a fees hike from 8 Lakhs for the whole course to 12 Lakhs due to an increase in Mess and Hostel Fees

Our Annual fest, Effervescense is usually conducted in October of every year, and our tech fest, Aparoksha is conducted in February. Most academic books are easily found in the library. Sports and extra curricular activites do leave a bit to be desired

Hostel rooms at the Boy's Hostel are good and the bathrooms are well maintained. Mess food can get bad at times, especially between tenders. The locality doesn't have a lot of staying options if one wants to move away from the hostel.
