Professors are autonomous. They can do anything according to their choice. Acads is tough. and also competition in this institute is tremendous. Every student is talented. So there is no chill life in IIT. You must to grind your ass off in this col

Course Curriculum Overview

I have choosed this course because I wants to work in this field of electronics and robotics. You can say, that it is also a circuital branch so it provides more better placements opportunities. Faculty student ratio is 1: 250. Faculty is highly qualified.

Class Size: 300Course Fees: INR 250000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I am first year so no INTERN but as per my seniors many companies recruit students in their 5th semester for internship. Average stipend here for a good intern can from 80k per month to 2.5 lakh per month depending on your skills.

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for placements from 5th semester. Many MNCs visits like Goldmann sachs, Google, Microsoft, Quant. These companies hire on crores package in our college. Highest package is 4CR and average package is around 27 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is somewhat high but very much less as comparable to private university. I am a first year student so there is no chance of getting a job in your first year. Scholatship I got like MCM and BS students get INSPIRE.

Campus Life

There are total 3 fests in our college. Sports fest in OCTOBER, Tech fest in MARCH, cultural fest in OCTOBER. There are almost lakhs of books in my college. Obviously it is IIT. There are many sports competition and also extra curricular activities. Many clubs like electronic , programming, astronomy, dance, music , book, anime ssociety, etc.

Hostel Facilities

Mostly there will be 3 students in ONE room. They will provide 3 beds individual for each student. 2 study table, 2 almirah, 2 cupboard, 2 mirror. Meal is excellent. There are many options present in our mess.

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Admission

I appeared for jee advanced exam which is held every year .Application form is available at jee advanced official site. Exam process is long as it comprises of two jee mains and one advanced paper. Reservation are given to ST,SC and OBC etc..

Interview Experience

Basically I get into by qualifying in JEE ADVANCED. You need to qualify in JEE ADVANCED and to get under minimum 12k rank to enter in IIT KANPUR. You need to work hard and consistently to ace in this exam.

Placement Experience:

After 6 th semester you are eligible for campus placement. Many companies are comes likes Accenture, Cognizant, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Cagegimini etc and they offer decent package. Highest package 3000000 and average package 400000 and profile offered as for company required. 80 percentage student get placement. Take a placement in good MNC company.

Actually I didn't research on the placement. But in college campus I saw many boards of placed students and the average package is around 4-4.5lakh per annum.and college data says about 90%of students are placed. I am preparing for both off-campus and on campus placement.

Our college offer good placement it has average placement of 11 Lpa. Highest package of 52 lpa in Google. Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.

I choose this college becouse of its flexible acdemic structure and its great Alum connections. Also this is the best college i am getting according to my rank and my interest in mathematics. I have Applied for IIT delhi in electronics. IIT Delhi is also a great college but when it comes to academic focus IIT delhi lacks there. Also there faculty administratation is so strict. if a student wants to start something or he/she has a new iniative for the college , he/she will face hard time. So I couldn't make it to IIT Roper CSE branch because my jee adance rank is not that great for the Roper' Computer science. So the Admission process here at IITK is not difficult. You just the originaly document which you have submitted in your josa counselling portal and you need to verify it once here usually a couple opf hours work. Life @ IITK

I chose IIT Kanpur over othe rcooleges because of its academic reputation, research opportunities and strong alumini network. I was also able to get seats in other IITs but I preferred IIT Kanpur due to its legacy . I didn't face rejections, but did not opt for some colleges even after qualifying due to lower research output, weaker placement stats.
