- IITK has a very large campus area of 1050 acres.

- we have a large students to teacher ratio.
- IITk provides 1st year student with double sharing or triple sharing rooms
- A small girls to boys ratio which makes me somewhat disappointed.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose mechanical due to my interest in doing the same, and the faculties of this course are highly qualified .Faculty to student ratio is 1:50 . There are frequent quizzes , mid semester and end semester exams .
Internships Opportunities
There are many companies which visit IITK campus for providing students with internship. companies like quadeyes securities give the role of analyst for 5 lakh. Amazon,google and microsoft etc are the companies which also provide software roles.
Placement Experience
after completing 7th semester a b-tech student can apply for campus placements.there are a lot of companies came for placements around 450 companies came, and each around 1000 students got placed . around 60-70% students get placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
Academic fee cost around 2.5 lakhs per annum , But their are a lot of scholorship and financial assistance in the college .Example of these include MCM scholorship given on the basis of merit in the semster exams.
Campus Life
There are a lot of extra curricular activities held in the campus such as Tekriti [technical fest] ,Udghosh [sports fest], Antaragini [cultural fest]. there is a very big library known as PK kelkar library where we get any kind of of books or journal.Here all the sports ammenities are easily accesible, some groups run by students include Eclub,Pclub etc.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms fulfill all our basic requirements, from bed to fan and all the stuffs we need are all given by hostel.Meals are good enough and there are extras everyday which we can take by paying extra of it.registration of these are easily done online .
Admission
For getting an admission in Indian Institute of Technology[IITs] eligibility criteria to fill the apllication form is that you have done 10+2 with top 20 percentile in respective board exams. Application form can be found at jee advanced official site. Yes I got reservation benefits in OBC category.
