Course Curriculum Overview

I chose my course because i have always been passionate about it.The student gender ratio is pretty good in college and faculty student ration is excellent. All the teachers are highly qualified. The examstake place on Epad which is like an tablet and a pen is given but in classes they expect us to write on paper but the exam is on a tab which causes a bit difficulty but once u get the hang of it, it is decent

I havent done any internships but there are many clubs who promote internships with stipends but u need some skill set to get the internships. MAHE also has a partnership with coursera for you to develop your skill set

Placement Experience

from the 8th sem students are eligible for campus placements. The placement percentage is 100%. I am planning to to do MBA or Mtech from abroad or in india and then look for a job, main reason being just a bachelors degree is not enough

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is high but u get quite many scholarships, there are like 10-12 scholarships. I have a konkani scholarship which gives me 10% fee waiver, then there are many scholarships for those who are poor.

Campus Life

THE tech fest was fabulous the cultural fest will be held in a few months and artists like prateek kuhad are going to come here. Manipal has a lot of sports activities there are teams for every sport. The classroom amenitites are good and there are many clubs u can join. there are multiple student projects like formula manipal and many more

Hostel Facilities

In the room you get a bed,Ac cupboards 24/7 hot water. The meals are well cooked and the menu changes everyday every alternate day u get chicken if ur a nonn vegetarian but if you are a vegetarian then u get paneer

Hostel Fee: INR 156000 per year

Admission

I took the entrance exam MET, the application process is pretty simple, you just have to go on their website and register for the exam and pay the examination fee. I got the 13390 andi got into my field. After the rank and result comesout i payed for the course and hostel and later on moved here

The Pros and Cons of being a student at MIT Manipal

I tried JEE but could not secure a good enough percentile to get into prominent NITs. MIT Manipal seemed to be better than any of the cet colleges with only the course fee being slightly on the higher end. I applied to SRM and VIT, both of which i got accepted into, but opted out as it seemed like both of these colleges rely heavily on student intake and are money minded. MIT Manipal has an exam called the MET which is based on a jee scheme (+3 -1). In my year the only marks required to secure a seat in the college was the MET but the scheme has changed and now board marks are also taken into consideration. JEE percentile can also be considered if the student secures above 95 , but most students take MET and are given ranks according to it....Read More
