Course Curriculum Overview

I was keen on taking ECE as it has been my field of interest since years. The mode of conducting exams on epad is quite forward and shows goes MAHE has progressed through the years. Student to faculty ratio is also very nice

Through the Entrepreneurship Cell student body at manipal institution of technology , a lot of internship opportunities are presented to even first years at Manipal Institution of Technology. Other than that companies also come through the placement cell

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for the campus placements after a certain semester at Manipal Institution of Technology. Many big companies visit and hire students from MIT which also gives us a wide alumni network

Fees and Financial Aid

Course fees for the first year 3,25,000 for people admitted on the basis of MET which is the entrance exam, and it progresses through the years. A separate NRI quota exists where the fees is 11,00,0000 a year.

Campus Life

Tech tatva is the technical fest which is conducted in the third month of the odd semester at MIT. The cultural fest is call Revel which is conducted in the third month of the even semester at MIT. Other than that Ecell organises MES, dates for the same depend on the organisation

Hostel Facilities

There are different types of hostel facilities available. Ranging from single non ac room without an attached washroom to single ac room with attached washroom. Double and triple sharing rooms are also available at MIT

Hostel Fee: INR 170000 per year

Admission

Application forms are available on the official website of MAHE. No reservation benefits but there is a nri and nri sponsored quota. 2 attempts for entrance test are given and best of two is selected as your final score

Placement stats are pretty good, offers above 50LPA have also been granted to students, but they are not as common. With a good cgpa, 5+ LPA can be ensured. Students from 6th sem become eligible for placements, companies such as TI, Apple, Daimler Trucks etc have come for placements

The Pros and Cons of being a student at MIT Manipal

I tried JEE but could not secure a good enough percentile to get into prominent NITs. MIT Manipal seemed to be better than any of the cet colleges with only the course fee being slightly on the higher end. I applied to SRM and VIT, both of which i got accepted into, but opted out as it seemed like both of these colleges rely heavily on student intake and are money minded. MIT Manipal has an exam called the MET which is based on a jee scheme (+3 -1). In my year the only marks required to secure a seat in the college was the MET but the scheme has changed and now board marks are also taken into consideration. JEE percentile can also be considered if the student secures above 95 , but most students take MET and are given ranks according to it....Read More
