Dr. Hari Singh Gour Central vishwavidyalaya (pros and cons, detail review)

I choose BA LLB because I want to be a lawyer and also in today's world knowledge of law is very important to protect ourselves in this society. Ratio of faculty to student is almost 1:30 Law subjects faculty are PHD holders and some are lawyers also .. and BA subject teachers are PHD scholars which is a demarit of this one of the renowned law faculty of this country ... Teaching Method of this faculty is old school and also faculty lacs in modern infra like smart boards and also next gen infra .Moot and debate competition don't held regularly. Faculty is also facing some legal herdings. Exam are held frequently and on the regular basis and on time . And guarding in exam is really tight and if your not prepared for exam you might find it difficult to pass the exam .

Fee is nominal here. For BALLb you just have to pay 9455 for a semester and there is no such hike policy. Exam fees are exempted from this semester fees. There are many scholarships as implemented by central and MP govt but mainly are for SC/ST community and PWD candidates There is no job in campus with stipend

University got a campus of almost 1300 acres and campus is really beautiful. Whole is campus is situated on Patharia hill having a eye warming scene in mansoon season . But being on hill and isolate from the main city campus is lacking in transportation facility. Sagar is a small city and having cantonment area in major part and also rural area . City doesn't have night life but locating at a point from where many markable places are easy to go .. like Rahatgarh, kajurao , Ujjain . BTech dept organise tech fest and Students of law sometimes organise Law fest and etc . Being not a hifi city like Delhi, Mumbai. People are not that modern here so city is not that mainstream here . University organise 'Gour mahotsav' in the occasion of birth anniversary of dr. Gour every year with great enthusiasm. NSS and cultural group is here, theater department is active and many artists like Ashutosh Rana and vasoli bhai is from here .

Campus has seperate hostel for boys and girls and also sub separation for PG , UG and PHD scholars in the hostel . Every room has 2 bed and 2 table for 2 student .water cooler and gyser is installed on every floor . And each hostel having canteen so to have breakfast and high tea .There is one new hostel for BTech students which has seperate room for individuals. Food quality is descent here and one of the main reason is that taste of people of Sagar is also different. Once you got enrolled in university, Google form will be provided to you by university and then merit list will be published by hostel administration on the basis of your distance and every course has reserved no of seats in hostel and also hostel has reservations. Fee of hostel is very nominal. At first you have to pay just 1655 for 1st semester in which 300 is security fee and from next sem you have to pay almost 1300 something . If you want to rent a PG or room you will easily get room in room in rent in locality.

This university takes admission through CUET and the eligibility in BA LLB course is that one should have 12th passed degree with 50% in lieu with general category. For BA LLB you have to choose legal studies, one Language domain and General Test paper in CUET as domain subjects . Then one has to select this college in one's CUET registration form and then one has to fill dr hari Singh Gour registration form on it's portal. Then after release of result . College will release it's cut off marks and students has to report in college for counseling. At my time college take admission in offline form and in my opinion it should be change to online mode, it will fease many student as after CUET students are coming here from all over India but also as in offline mode process of counseling is smooth , fee payments and other things are also easy to do . All central Reservation schemes are available here and to claim them you just have your central reservation certificate.
