Canteen - In VC college's canteen, foods are of very low price
Events- Every year, exciting events are organised by college
Library - Library is quite big and very clean

Dislikes

Infrastructure - college buildings look quite old and weak
Class room - very dirty and bench are broken
Teachers- not every teachers are bad, but most of them are not that good.

Course Curriculum Overview

Exams are held in every 6 months of a year. As our course was of 3 years, there will be 6 term of exams. Exams paper are of moderate level. It's not that difficult to pass the exam, if you study with proper concentration.

Class Size: 1100Course Fees: INR 700 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I got Vivekananda Scholarship at the beginning of semester 1. And, it will continue till course get completed. The scholarship amount is around ?10000- ?12000, which is quite good for maintaining our own expenses.

Campus Life

There is group called V.C.S.U , it is run by our senior students. They are also called Union. They have good behaviour with everyone and always ready to help in every situation. Always arranges new activities in every occasion.

Admission

Every thing is well arranged and management is pretty good. The only improvement to they can do is by making the admission process online. Because most of the time, it's get difficult to always go to college for admission procedure.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.
