I've always been keen to study law and my interests in these subjects led me to choose this course. The law faculty of Dr.harisingh Gour is proficient in teaching and very helpful in each aspect though you too have to do hard work. Student ratio is 50:50. Faculty members are well qualified and there teaching methods are quite normal and any layman can understand the concept very easily. Terms exams can vary depending upon the situation but you've to be ready for them. They can occur in any time.

After your final year you are eligible for placement. Packages vary from course to course it can be as high as 1200000 and low as 200000 to 500000. Atleast 60 to 70% students gets placed. My plan is to go for judiciary.

Fees here is very nominal as it is a central government university. It does not feel heavy on the pocket of even ews people. YOu can still get scholarships according to categories. Various NSP's and state government policies are there.

If you expect much then don't expect that much because not much fests are organized here. Though our law department individually hold various events like ethnic day, law fest, debates, speeches etc. All these events happens depending on situations which makes our law department different from other departments. Classes are not very spacious but you'll get used to them as you have to spend 5 years or 3 years here. Sports are held at university level and there are various opportunities for students interested in sports . Placement cell is main feature of law department run by students.

There are 2 main hostels- Tagore hostel and Vivekanand hotel (for boys). Rooms are equipped with 2 beds and 2 tables for studying and an open cupboard. Mess in boys hostel is not available but maybe soon it'll be opened. Tiffin services are there. You get good food 2 times a day. Online application are there for applying for hostel. It is available according your distance from college. You can rent rooms near gopalganj and civil lines.

I've got admitted through my cuet ug 2023 scored. I scored 522/650 and I don't have any reservation because I belong to general category. You have to fill cuet forms and give the exams after that universities individually gives forms to be filled by students with there scores and to get admitted here safest score would be 520+/650 if you are of general category. Though it might vary from year to year depending on number of students appearing for exam and difficulty of exam.
