Remarks

I would say that this college has brought much from inside me. Right from academics to other fields they keep on supporting us. I really thank them for such a good initiative

Entrance Preview

I got admission in this college with some mild donation as I was willing to do diploma. Although I appeared for state level polytechnic exam but became unable to clear it. For me there was no interview but those who came without donations they had counselling.

Course Curriculum Overview

I had chosen this as I like being here.I really like the curriculum as it follows the latest state polytechnic Syllabus strictly. Practical learning is supported somewhat for namesake.

Internships Opportunities

Internships are given by college on in-house projects. Stipends are paid on basis of periodic improvement. We ourselves search for internships from outside as they pay more stipends.

Placement Experience

Placements are there with average package of 2.5 lacs. Many companies like L&T ,Jaypee etc are having their campus here.Last time 60% of students got placed in overall good companies.

College Events

It's hard to mention all the events but recently they conducted JIGYAASA Technical Fest that was too informative.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is affordable I think because most of the private polytechnic colleges are having same fee. For each year we pay 70k excluding miscellaneous fee.

Those who score well are provided with scholarship.

Sports meet, Dance competition etc are organised periodically.

Hostels are not at all good. I stayed for not even half an year. It's really horrible. Food is not good.

Many who are passed out from here are still in contact and keep on visiting us.

Exam Structure

We having 4 internals, 2 practicals and final exam each semester. Moreover they keep on conducting tests periodically.

Faculty

Faculty members are just managing to teach.I think their qualification is not that much.But few of the staffs are really experienced and are having good sense of teaching.

In the 6th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. The companies visited on the campus are Maruti, Tata, Mahindra, TVs, Toyota & 2 offers made. The highest and average package as per company is 35,000 to 45,000 per month. 60% of students getting placements. I Plans after getting the degree is job.

Placement Experience:

Our study is important but the most important thing is the placement, which makes your career better. Our college has campus placement and many companies visit and hire our students. In many branches, not all the students get the placement but the students who are toppers and who are good in their study get the placement. I also dream to get a placement so that I can get a job quickly after my diploma. For that, I am really working hard and improving my skills, knowledge, and my scores. Tata Motors, Layam Group, Myntra, Bajaj, and other companies come to our college for the placement. In the final year of our course, this opportunity comes to us and we are very much awaited for that.

Best engineering college for BTech and polytechnic. Architecture department are also in our college. Labs, laboratories, libraries. Buses with camera. Girl hostels.

Placement Experience:

In the last semester, our senior get a job in many respected companies. About 70 to 80% of students placed in every year. About 40 students placed in Mechanical in core companies in this. Covid time by virtual placement drive. And minimum package for diploma student is 2.5 LPA to 5lpa.

Many companies visited our campus. Every year more than 90 percent of students placed in companies like Shalimar,eldeco, BCC, etc. The percentage should not below 60 percent for participate in interviews. Minimum salary package for freshers of diploma engineering hired 3.5 lakhs per annum. I am planning to go for the government junior engineers exam after completing my diploma

BEST GOVT. POLYTECHNIC IN UP

Remarks:

Positives Beautiful Campus : This might seem irrelevant to some, but the natural beauty is what comes to your rescue when you feel you have hit rock-bottom. Single Rooms : People have different opinions about this, but I have come to respect this particular facility at our campus. Location of campus (away from city) : This is a very subjective issue, but I think that the location of campus (distance from city) leaves us lesser distractions. Negatives :- Weak Alumni Base : Although it is definitely possible to achieve any goal in life without assistance from alumni, but their experience can definitely make the journey simpler for many. However, lately, many alumni of IIT Guwahati are connecting back with the student community and I am grateful to them for taking out their time for interacting with us. Single Rooms : Yes, I covered this in positives as well, but I think I must point out the cons of this facility. Students, especially in the first year, might feel lonely and find it hard to interact with others. A shared room provides you with one or more readily accessible friends whose privacy you can breach without asking, from day one. Mess : However the Mess System is undergoing a lot of changes, this is one aspect that has a lot of scope for improvement.

I chose this college over others because of its balanced focus on ACADEMICS, PLACEMENT, INFRASTRUCTURE AND FACULTY SUPPORT, which felt more student-centric compared to the other colleges i applied to. I applied to a few similar private universities and received confirmed admission offers, but I chose this college due to its better course strucutre, approachable faculty and strong placement support. Some colleges i applied to had higher cutoffs or limited seats which affected my chances there.
