I like our college building, it's so pretty.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I was good in mathematics and I loved solving the problems and theorems. The faculty members are really good and they taught us many good stuffs. Exams are never easy for anyone. It was difficult to pass but if one has the idea to solve the problems then it can be easier.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 1620 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees aren't that much to pay, we only need to pay ?810 for each semester which is ?1620 for 1 year. It's a fair amount for students who can't afford much for their studies. We can apply for SVMCM where we have some eligibility criteria for the same. We don't get placements after graduation.

Campus Life

Life at campus is way too fun. We have every possible books available in library. We have freshers and farewell party and other annual fest every year. We have writing club, dance club, sports clup and all.

Admission

It was quite easy as my name was there in the list to apply. I didn't opt for entrance exam, it wasn't necessary for admission. We can find the application form and all the details in the Darjeeling Government College website itself .

Good academics with limited internship opportunities

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is relevant and well structure. It includes theory an practical subject which help in building strong basics it is useful for higher studies and future career . Some improvement are needed in adding more skil based course and internship. Teaching methods can be more interactive. The course follow a semester system and exam are of moderate difficulty

Course Curriculum Overview:

Though the bachelor of science is pursued by someone who wants to research and develop some idea to help the modern world. The primary decision was to contribute to the society like the great scientists who have done so before. The curriculum provides a balanced approach of both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, theoretical knowledge from classes, assignments, homeworks and exams. Practical knowledge through the different workshops that are held in the college auditorium or online with successful men of the field who are brought as guests in them, from renowned scientists to great thinkers we have met a lot of them.

Placement Experience:

After completing the 5th Semester the student are eligible for placement but the student should have 7.5 CGPA and a good attendence for the palcement after this oncampus placement like TCS, wipro, accenture etc come for placement with a native package of around 6-8 LPA. Which is goood . Nearly as per report around 80% of studentt gets placed every year . After i complete this course i have decide to go master degree in data science which will be benificial for me for international company.

Pros and cons

Placement Experience:

Placement or internship depends on the course Duration . Overall placement is good . The highest package is 1cr/ yr. And the average package 2to3 lakh/ yr. After getting the bsc. degree in Forensic science, I want to prepare for compitive exam or prepare for higher studies.

How an average student sees his College

Remarks:

Pros:The teachers very very helpful and friendly. Loans and scholarships available. Faculties are highly qualified. Infrastructure is awesome. Cons: no placement. No stipends There wasn’t any hostel facility. Canteen could be developed.

Viewing from my perspective

Government College are cheaper than private so I choose government college and we get scholarship. No I was not rejected.ST people will get seat faster than OBC . The person scoring good percentage is taken in . General having good percentage still won't be able to get as the seat are taken by ST OBC . The exams are not hard but also not too easy....Read More
