Course Curriculum Overview
I was interested in robotics and thus chose electronics. Faculty are good and supportive and ratio is also pretty good. Exams were difficult and grading and marking system is strict. Curriculum is good and knowledgeable and difficult.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are available in campus and off campus. Various companies offer internships, both paid and unpaid. Work from home and in office internships are also offered. 3rd year students get to do internships.
Placement Experience
7th sem students have placement exams and highest package was 62 lakhs. Avg package varies branch to branch but is commonly 12-13 lakhs. I plan to do MBA after degree and have a good placement. Various companies come to placements and give good packages.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for tution for 1 year is 3,25,000. Total fees is around 18 lakhs. Intership is to be done in 3rd year. Various scholarships are available for girl child and other criteria. Scholarship for girls in mechanical, civil, chemical, industrial etc branches are there based on CGPA.
Campus Life
Campus Life is awesome. 2 fests are taken place annually. Tech Tatva, technical fest in October and revels, cultural fest in March. Sports facilities are crazy and teams are also great. There are multiple cultural and technical clubs such as Ada dramatics, robo manipal, aero mit etc.
Hostel Facilities
24 hr water supply and electricity, lift facilities, spacious rooms and proper furniture. Water coolers are maintained and cleaners come thrice a week. AC rooms, non AC rooms double rooms, single rooms, triple sharing rooms, attached washrooms and common washroom are available.
Admission
Manipal Entrance test is the test you have to write to get admission into the 4 engineering colleges. Online application process and fees of exam around 2000rs. Cuttoff varies from 1200 for CSE Core to 46,000 for mechanical etc.
