Remarks

The overall experience was great. We are getting a lot of opportunities to explore, interact and do the things we are good at. I can't actually think of any bad experiences here, yet.

Entrance Preview

I, like any other non-medical student, gave JEE mains and advanced as those are the exams you need to give to get a generalized rank. According to my rank, I got admission in IIIT Delhi. I had an interest in computer programming and ECE was a course closest to CS that I could get in an IIIT so I opted for it. No, there was no interview round. You get selected on your rank basis itself.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is really good. Maximum emphasis is given on the practical approach. Detailed things are taught here giving heed to rote learning. We also have labs for each subject and its implementation is taught too. Some subjects like EMI, DC are very tough but teachers make it easy. Research Initiatives are very much seen in our college. Various teachers have published their papers. The PhD scholars also get the chance to publish their papers. All the papers that are published are also visible on our college website, even helping us to learn. Even fellowship and awards are also granted to the researchers. All the Humanities subject are electives.

Internships Opportunities

The placement cell has laid very strict rules for the ON campus internships. Once we have registered, we cannot take back our application. We are not allowed to reject any internships and many more. I don't know whether its good but yes internships provided are well paid and good enough. The stipend ranges from minimum 5k per month(from startups) to a good amount offered by well-known companies. Even the professors in our college provide summer internships to the students. I have myself applied for the internship in the upcoming summer under our senior professor Vinayak Naik and I hope that I might get one.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement percentage went up to 92% in ECE which is great, talking about our branch. Average package was around 11 lakhs per annum and companies like Amazon and other tech companies visit the campus for placement drives. The highest package in college was offered to a BTech CSE student i.e. 35 lakhs per annum.

College Events

4.5

The cultural fest, Odyssey and the technical fest, Esya grab a lot of attention from college students. I'm not sure about the number, but it has an amazing footfall. We also have a lot of sponsors and that time of the year is sought after. College always provides a good amount for holding these events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is quite affordable for me. It is around 3 lacs per annum. They provide us with a lot of facilities including hostel so I feel it is nominal.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, the college do provides the scholarship, but only for privileged students. I didn't take any loan. But, it provides opportunities for students to take a loan if fee is barricading their studies.

Campus Life

4

Extra curricular is quite good in our college. It is given a lot of importance for the holistic development of the student. I am a part of music hub and we have been provided with all types of music equipments in the music room. College provides us every facility but what I have noticed so far is that the students do not go for extracurricular much. You will always find students just studying and studying and thats the thing I didn't like here.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Yes, I'm residing in a hostel. We have single rooms as well as twin sharing rooms here. I live in a double occupancy. The fee is around 24k bucks per semester. Food is edible, in fact good. It is better than what is expected out of hostel food.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni meets are held regularly. We get ample of opportunities to interact with them.

Exam Structure

Yes,the exams culture is very frequent in our college. ECE is the most hectic elective here. We had classes ranging from 5 hours a day maximum of 7 hours a day. Labs are also very frequently held but the instruments provided in the labs are the most updated and advanced technology persisting in the world. This makes our work interesting and helps us to easily go through the tight lab schedules.

Faculty

4

Faculty is up to the mark. They show practical approach towards each topic and have inclination towards teaching methodologies. Our professors are mostly the pass outs of IITs, NITs. There are well aware of the teaching procedures. They always try to involve us in learning rather than just mugging up.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
