Remarks
I like my college but there are not many options available to do besides study but it is an experience in its own way. Socially the college is very good but there is much to improve and develop in our college. Its location is little far away from the town so the accessibility is an issue and at night it becomes a big issue especially for girls.
Entrance Preview
I gave the UPCAT examination. My parents wanted me to do MBBS but I was inspired by my sister who was in the last year of BDS in this same college. Therefore I went for BDS and chose this college which is turning out to be a good choice. There was an interview in the college once you have cleared the exam and submitted all the documents.
Course Curriculum Overview
Being in a college has its own perks. I found my course interesting yet tough. We do get to practice and apply our studies in labs. This being a vast field, our college makes us aware of different kind of seminars held, so that we can advance ourselves with upcoming technologies learn about them.
Internships Opportunities
Internship as a training is provided by the college for a whole year. Getting to learn about the field with a hand-on practice is a new experience itself. we get 4-5k per month, this being the best part. We have a hospital along with our college where we are trained to treat real time patients and deal with the difficult situations.
Placement Experience
Placement is very rare. Me and many of my friends do occasionally think of doing post graduation courses because in medical field placement is rare. The companies that mostly come are medicine making companies or big dental clinics. Very few students shit in for placements and out of those very few, very few get placed.
College Events
Our college fest is something that you might call a "tech-fest" collaborated with different colleges coming and participating. Footfall is lower compared to other colleges. Sports meet, conferences and seminars are the main attraction of our fest. I have been least active in the activities of the hub therefore I don't much idea about the events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Being in a medical college, the fee structure is what "expensive" describes in a standard dictionary. 3.75lakh per annum, which is a little less than other private colleges.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, our college does not provide us with any kind of Scholarship or loan.
Campus Life
Unlike other colleges, this is a big step-down of our college that does not provide us with many options in co-curricular activities. No promotion is given to the various other talents of the students.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, I have opted hostel which is a 3-bed sharing room with all the personal commodities provided. Security is good so I feel protected and safe. I occasionally hate living here because of the poor mentally of other students but most of the time it is fun to live with friends.
Alumni/Alumna
I do get to talk with our alumni on social networking sites. There is no special network provided by the college. Their experience and knowledge act as my guidelines.
Exam Structure
Exams are the best and the worst part of a college. Labs and exams are regularly held which are intended to make us better in our practices. It takes a toll on us but we get used to it.
Faculty
Faculty of our college is good. They all are well-qualified experts in their field. Interactions with them are tough but there is always a guidance given to us by them. A supportive faculty is always good to have around.
