Likes

Location of IIM Sirmaur is very nice and good.
Faculty is knowlegeabke and knows how to deliver it.
No case of ragging is reported and safety is priortized.

Dislikes

Permanent campus is not there and boys have to live outside.
Not enough classroom and infrastructure is lacking
International exchange program was cancelled

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is divided into 6 terms + 1 Summer Internship Program. We have 35 faculty and 600 students. The course is well-planned and executed. Academic focus is there and exams and schedule is properly managed on a timely basis.

Placement Experience

Placement is rare god in our college and no students are forced to apply for companies they don't like there are many opportunities available for all domains and the placement heads all the placement processes.

Fees and Financial Aid

16 lac is the fee for 2 year's course. The mess fee is taken separately and is ?150 per day. The scholarship is given but only for some selected students and is on a merit and caste basis. Financial assistance is not much there.

Campus Life

We currently don't have a permanent campus bus next year we will shift to the permanent Campus and it is under construction. There are many clubs and committees and student bodies that have all kinds of different purposes and plans and they execute them meticulously.

Hostel Facilities

IIM Sirmaur has 6 hostels. 2 for girls on campus and 4 for boys outside campus. 1st year students live in the kailash campus which has 200+ capacity. We live in a sharing of 2 people per room. It has wifi connectivity and mess in my also.

Hostel Fee: INR 120000 per year

Admission

First I gave the CAT exam in November. Scored 97.56 percentile and got a CAP call. CAP is a combination of joint interviews conducted by 9 IIMs. The minimum weightage in each section should be 75 percentile. After the interview, I was selected.

Interview Experience

We had a CAP interview that was jointly conducted by 9 IIMs and there we were asked about ourselves, why IIM, what plans after IIM, IF not selected what the future or alternate plan. I spoke fluently in the interview.

They say 100% pleacement but here is catch if you break the placement laws you will not able to sit into the palcements many or most comapnies come for sales and marlketing very few companies are there for the fiace core role adna average pacakge is 7 lpa

Analyzing the college on its own terms

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the curriculum, the best,in terms of relevance. There is many aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course. It provided me lots of experince and self confidence to achieve my goal. There should be less activity then studying.Free time can be used for the activities. Timing of the exams is good for the all the students even if they are from long distances . They can reach at the proper timing.

Life at Himanyan IIM

Placement Experience:

Our placement committee is very good and supportive and placement process starts soon as you join the college in 1st year it is summer internship placement and 2nd year it's for final Placement. The placement drive in floated in respective students institute mail ID and they respond to the mail based on the eligibility criteria and the campus has proper infrastructure for conducting offline interview and they are strict norms when comes to placement guidelines like grooming standard and formal business dress code.

Remarks:

Data analyst is one of the modern career options, which is why I determined to pursue this course after graduation. My high school seniors told me about this university since it was one of the best universities in India. Candidates were required to obtain a minimum of 50% marks in their graduation to be eligible to apply. The students were selected on the basis of their ranking on the merit list. The merit list was based on their scores on the entrance examination (CAT, GMAT, MAT, SAT, or State entrance exams), the group discussion, and the personal interview.
