Course Curriculum Overview
I chose Bcom(Hons) to pursue my master's on Business Analytics either in the country or somewhere foreign. Student ratio is fairly balanced. Faculty does provide good education quality to the students. The term exams were per 6 months and it was moderate to pass the exam
Internships Opportunities
I am yet to enroll for internships, but according to my seniors they offer more intership to the students belonging to the BA stream for multi media marketing companies etc. but Bcom students also get the chance to enroll themselves in accounts departments of certain company
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for campus placement from 5th-6th sem. Companies like Accenture, Amazon, Bain, McKinsey etc visit the faculty. The record for highest and average package is deferred every year. 70% of students getting placements. My plan after the degree is to pursue master's in Business Analytics.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is not much of a fee hike in the college for Bcom. It starts around 32k from the 1st sem then gradually increases by 2-3k per sem. There was no scholarship provided to me as it was provided to students securing 90+% in the Boards exam
Campus Life
The college organises the biggest fest in Kolkata called UMANG. Where colleges from all over Kolkata as well as outside the state participate in various competitions. The library contains all the books required for the semester as well as some leisure time study books. Classrooms are well maintained with AC facilities.
Admission
Eligibility is on Boards exam basis rather than CUET. The application form is on the college website. No reservations benefits There should be reservation benefits for the college to allow more students from across the country
