College management is s up to the mark who are ever willing to help students.

I appeared for JEE Mains Exam in which I scored 191. JHARKHAND being my home state, helped me to take up Computer Science and Engineering in NIT Jamshedpur. I chose this college because of its excellent placement record.

The course curriculum is well planned. The course finishes before time which allows teachers to do revision classes. Extra classes are taken if required. Though the course is a bit outdated, it still covers all the basics needed for research. With helpful guidance from seniors and professors, a student is equipped with all the necessary knowledge.

Internship opportunities arrive all along the year. Third-year students opt for these internships. Various companies visit for providing internships to students who fulfill their requirements. Microsoft, Amazon, Tata Steel are some of the reputed companies which offer internships with heavy stipends.

Most of the students have opted NIT Jamshedpur because of its amazing placement record over the years. The highest package being 67 lpa. Various company visits the campus offering job opportunities for all the branches. Placement of CSE branch is the best. Even some of the most coveted PSUs visit the campus. The average package being 7 lpa, nearly 80% are placed.

URJA, a sports fest is conducted which will be inter college from next year. Culfest is organized for cultural events. Many students from various college come to participate in it and win lucrative prizes. Ojass, a techno-management fest is conducted which is the biggest event organized. Many students come to participate in it. Various celebrities are invited for entertainment. The prize money of Ojass is quite high.

Since last three years, fees has been increased by 70% as per the government. Currently the total sum is more or less 10 lacs for four years combined. But college facilitates fee waivers for category students. According to me fees structure is moderate with which most of the students are comfortable.

The college has its own SBI branch within the campus which provide education loans. Further, students whose family income is less than 1 l.p.a gets a full waiver in their fees. Students with category also gets fee waiver.

The gender ratio is 14:1 in favor of boys. The campus is quite spread, consisting of food courts, basketball, badminton courts, cricket ground, and a lawn tennis area. Major fests conducted are URJA ( sports fest), CULFEST (cultural fest), OJASS (techno-management fest) and Alumni meet. Fests provide wide opportunities for students to win and showcase their talents. Labs here are quite outdated. Most of the equipments barely works in labs.

Hostel facility is among the best in India as it is the only college which provides single room to each student throughout their stay at college. LAN, wifi, and TVs are installed in hostels. Mess food is also up to the mark. Great attention is given to Mess food quality and hygiene.

The most important thing is the senior-junior relationship. Seniors help the Juniors throughout their time in college. They readily share their experience and gives useful directions and tips to except in a particular field.

The lab manuals and Exams keep students busy, especially at night. Exams are taken in three interval T1, T2 of 20 marks each and End Seem of 40 marks. Remaining 20 marks is dependent on attendance, behavior and performance of surprise quiz and final assignments.

I got admission through JOSAA counselling. I had downloaded necessary documents needed for admission from JOSAA website including a medical form. I had to report to NIT Jamshedpur to verify my details and documents to enroll myself. The administration was quite helpful who were calm throughout the process.

Faculty of NIT Jamshedpur is well organized. Most of the professors have completed their Ph.D. from reputed institutions. They possess ample knowledge and are willing to share it with the students. Most of the teacher's clear doubt of the students heartily.
