SASTRA University , merit and transparency

I have choosen this course, as we all know that IT sector is ruling the world now a days. Nothing is happening without the involvement of technolgy. In this competative world,if we need to survive we need some skills and I thought I can learn that here. The faculty student ration here will be 1:10 and the teachers here are well qualified and holding a PHD degree with more than two published researches.The exams here will be monthly once. There will be three internal tests and one external tests. The question papers here are quite tiugh than other universities.

The internships will be given to the students in the mid of the 5 and starting of the 6th semester itself. Many companies like Goldmann Sachs, Wells Fargo, Rosche, Paypal, Oracle provided the roles such as data analyst,software engineer etc. The projects will be given by the companies during the summer internshi and a descent amount of stipend is given .

SASTRA University is known for placements and it maintains it name by placing almost 90% of students every year in more than 280+ companies. The placements will begin from the end of 3-2. And in the mid of 3-1 and in 3-2 you will get to face some of the companies offering internships. The package offered will be based on your skills and your performance. The highest package of this year is around 35 LPA and the average package is between 6LPA to 8LPA.

Compared to other universities , I can SASTRA affords a best education for afforable fee and its quite lower than other universities. The fee gets hiked by 3-4k per year of your study. And the hostel fee is also quite lower than other univerisity hostels and the facilities are quite good. Mess fee should be paid on monthly basis and the room amount should be paid at the starting of your year.

Kuruksastra namely KS is the cultural fest that happens with a wide variety of events around the university. Daksh is the techincal fest with wide range of hackathons, workshops and many other tech events. This 2 will happen in the even semester. Mini versions of these two will happen in the odd semester. There are plenty of clubs around the college and you can choose based upon interests. And there is a big central library in the middle of the university with a huge amount of books and access to many online resources. Colloseum is the sports club with many games and sports conducted. DAKSH and Colloseum are intercollege fests. Social clubs like NSS,NCC,SCORE are the clubs run by students and one can participate in based on their interest.

Hostel have a good facilites for students. You will have single and three shared room and you can choose the type of room at the time of admission. The hostel rooms are quite good and clean. The food here is quite adjustable based on taste and the quality wise its good. The registration process will be notified once you get your admission letter of joining. The Hostel accomodation is affordable.

The admission process will be on your 12th and jee basis. There will be two streams in giving the admission . one stream focuses on your jee and 12th score collectively . The other stream will focus only on 12th score alone. Based on this the ranks will be alloted to you and the stream in which you gets the lower rank will taken for admission process and each of the streams are equally allocated with seats. The eligibility criteria will vary for each department. The application form will be made available online on the offical website of sastra (www.sastra.edu).The admission page will be made available and everything done or updated will be displayed on that page and till admission process is completed candidate will have an access to that page.
