The reality of NIT life

I am so passionate about electronics and their applications in daily life. There are 450 faculty for 6000+ students. Most of the faculty members are Ph.D. holders. Usually, a semester lasts for about 14 weeks excluding exams. And the difficulty level is Median-High.

Most of the top companies visit the campus for internship drives like Qualcomm, Amazon, Microsoft, Oracle, De & show, salesforce, etc. Machine learning, Artificial intelligence, and many other projects.

From the 5th semester students are allowed for internship interviews conducted on campus offered by different companies and from the 6th semester all the students are allowed for placement drive. A minimum of 6 cgpa need to be maintained for placements. Salesforces, oracle, microns, Qualcomm, Microsoft, AWS, Amazon, thoughtspot, Goldman Sachs, etc. Last year 1400+ offers were received. The highest package offered was 88 LPA by Thoughtspot for the MTS role. last year 89 percent of people placed. as of now, there are no plans. my focus is only on securing a good job.

We need to pay an amount of 125000 as the tuition fee per year. There is an Institute Scholarship available for all the students on the campus based on their financial conditions. Institute Financial support scholarship. I have received the tuition waiver from my institute for the second year of my B.Tech program.

Spring Spree is the annual cultural fest of our college and technozion is the technical fest of our college. And there are so many clubs available based on your interest. So life is so better at our college. There is a central library for our college which has about 180000+ books. there are various laboratories and research centers available at our institute. There is a separate physical education department at our college and also there is a mandatory noncredit course for first years at our college. NSS, Youth Red Cross, IG, and many more clubs.

Hostels are affordable for all the students and there are no extra facilities provided by the college to the hostel students. Meals are not that good at our college. It is done through online mode. Overall hostel life is not as expected.

I have written Jee mains in the year 2022. And secured all India 8733 rank (CRL Rank). I have also qualified for Jee Advanced and have secured an all-India Rank of 11064. I have decided to opt for NIT and my JEE Advanced rank was low. So I have selected a few NITs during my Josaa counseling. And finally landed in the NIT Warangal ECE department.
