Course Curriculum Overview
I wanted to pursue a career in the R&D of a semiconductor . Since the ECE of NITW is the best among all the NITS I Choose to it. The faculties are kinda strict but again 100% credible . They ll help you in whatever way possible plus the ECE students are one most active people u d find in the Campus. The ECE department has the highest tr to student ratio among all the department. The exams won't be problem u if u focus in class.
Internships Opportunities
All the major tech ,management, consulting firms comes to NITW for hiring interns . If u mange to get into the circuital branches intern is not something u shld be worrying about. Enjoy the process and learn skills and have a good time.
Placement Experience
The placement of NITW is something which I rather not discuss as the stats speak for themselves . Last time it got around 1300 FTES and 300 companies visited the institute. The CCPD is hyper active to bring startups and companies from across the country to give a Kickstart to the students career. Highest was 80lpa and the AVG for ECE was 23 .5 Lpa with median around 21 Lpa.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are regulated by the government so u don't have to worry about that plus if u have any financial constraints there are many scholarship that are awarded to student with good merit . And still if ur needs are not u can easily avail Loan from the SBI NITW .
Campus Life
The student is very Vibrant with fest ,workshops ,events from time to time. You can always here music coming out of SAC all the time . The Spree is one of the biggest cultural fest in the country with eminent speakers and stars from across the country.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities is definitely good and I can vouch for that . The administration is responsive to every complain . The mess is where u might feel a bit of problem especially if u from North like me bz we are used to a different kind of south Indian food but don't worry it wouldn't be a problem once u get use to it. The institute is middle of the City so u ll get plants of rooms and facilities just outside the institute.
Admission
The admission is through Jee Mains . If u want to get into ECE and u r from general category a rank below 7000 will help u secure a seat in the department . The admission process is very smooth .The seniors will reach out to help u in whatever way possible.
