FIMT- college

I chose this course because of the subjects which are deeply connected to law. The curriculum is the same as the IPU curriculum and is followed perfectly by the faculty members. The faculty is also constantly available for any doubts or questions. The ratio between the faculty to the students was also at a normal level. Every class was headed by a specific teacher. Only qualified staff were teaching us so there were no issues regarding professionals and qualifications. There are two sets of exams every term which we are expected to pass in both of them. The internal exams are very easy and held within the college while the external exams are on a harder level and are held in a different college associated with GGSIPU.

Some law firms and individual lawyers are taking interest in the college. Currently, around 19-21 advocates are in contact requesting for interns from the college. Various projects are being considered with some already underway. Webinars, seminars and workshops are also being held regularly to help the students.

Campus placements are not that common in the college but not rare either. A new placement cell has been formed which is working towards bettering that. There is a 50% chance of getting a placement through the college.

The opportunity for scholarship and such details can be discussed with the staff at all times. Students who meet a set criteria within the exams and other activities can avail for scholarship and financial assistance. The fees compared to other colleges and institutes is average. Not too high nor too low.

The annual fest and such things are made with GGSIPU and its associate colleges. The annual fest, anugunj, is very festive with the last fest held at a stadium. It was conducted during months of november [Prelims] and february [mains]. Books and journals can be borrowed from the library during college hours. The college also provides with book sets for the semester which need to be returned at the end of a semester. Societies and clubs are run by students and teachers which usually participate in various competitions and fests.

The course and its contents are followed according to the guidelines of GGSIPU. A person can take admission through the IPU website or through direct admission to the college. I enrolled through the CLAT law exam and through the IPU website and admission process. It was overall not taxing or hard to register for through the website. The application and other procedures were like typical exams and procedures.
