Entrance Preview
I took JCECE to get admission into this college. i got 64 out of 150 to get a chemical branch. I opt this college because I didn't get much in other competitive exams to get admission in NIT or IIT.
Course Curriculum Overview
I think the chemical branch is good if you are willing to go for research in future because there is any scope for research in chemical engineering.
Internships Opportunities
I don't know much about internship offered by our college because I joined this college a year before. As far as I know there are many companies with which MOU was done for internship.
Placement Experience
This year placement is quite good as compared to previous year. The Highest package is given by Tata steel of 12 lakh and many big companies like Vedanta Resources,Byju's, Newton tutorials, TCS, etc recruit many students with a good package. Vedanta recruits with a package of avg. 6 lakh per annum whereas BYJU recruits with a package of 8 lakh. Also, many different companies recruit with an avg of 4 lakh per annum
College Events
Many events were held every year in different sectors. This year in cultural sector two main events were held first one is BITAANSH and second one is FOYC i.e., fresher of the year. In the technical field, Sandhaan were the main event.Many different college students were also invited to join the different events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The Fee structure for this college is very low. for four years tuition fee is only about 60,000(except food and lodging).Hostel fee is also very low it is only 5000 per year and mess fee is 3000 per month. There is also electricity fee which is 2000 for a year.
Fees and Financial Aid
Many scholarships were given to he students by different sectors.E-Kalyan gives 22,000 per year to the students.Also different companies gives scholarship but i don't know much about it so can't write much about it
Campus Life
Gender ratio I think maybe 10:3. There are no extracurricular activities. But the institute is trying to start extracurricular activities. There are labs for every subject which requires it. Also, a new lab for CSE and IT were set up by Jharkhand government
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities were very good because all hostels were renovated this year after new director came to this institute.Mess food is also excellent. It gives you non-veg five days in a week except tuesday and thursday.Every sunday you will get Biryani.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network of this institute I think is the largest among any other college because this institute is very old and you will get alumni of this institute in every corner of the earth.
Exam Structure
Odd Semesters were held in the month of December-January & even semesters held in month of may. There are five papers for 1st-year students. Every week 3-4 labs classes were held to improve lab experiences for students. All exams were held by VBU hazaribag.
Admission
First of all i took JCECE exam & after scoring 64 marks out of 150, i go through counselling process at namkum Ranchi and got chemical branch on second round of counselling.After opting for chemical branch in counselling centre i went to BIT Sindri for admission process after few weeks later & got admitted to this reputed college.
