Course Curriculum Overview
The mechanical engineering course in RVCE is famous for providing core placements in reputed companies such as Airbus,Boeing etc that why I chose this course. For theory classes the ratio is 1 teacher per 60 students and for lab the ratio is 1 teacher per 10 students. Faculties are well qualified with almost all holding a PhD degree from reputed universities. Faculties use modern techniques and technology to teach and labs are well maintained. There are 2 internal exams which are not that hard to score along with quizzes and a project which is called experiential learning and for term exam or session ending exam the exam is of 3 hours and a bit more difficult.
Internships Opportunities
Some companies and roles offered are Cisco - sde Nutanix-sde,system reliability engineer Microsoft -swe Pwc- junior analyst Nvidia- junior engineer Sap labs- junior software developer Toughtspot - swe, system reliability engineer
Placement Experience
For on campus internships students are provided opportunities from the college in start of 3 year or 4th semester of the course. Companies either provide ppo to these students or they can again sit for placements at the end of their 6th semester. Some companies which visit the campus are Sap labs, airbus,Boeing,Nvdia,Cisco, nutanix, Microsoft,Intel, toughtspot, mercedes benz, BEL and all makes 10 to 20 offers atleast. Percentage of students placed is generally high(above 75%) for computer, electrical and mechanical branches and low for aerospace, civil, chemical etc My plans are to get placement in a good company after completing my degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee hike is 3000 to 6000 each year and the additional costs such as exam registration and acquiring lab records may cost and additional 3000. Scholarships are available for students who took admission from kcet exam but no scholarship are available for COMEDK students. For placements and jobs our college starts providing intership opportunities from 2 year itself and many students get selected in reputed companies such as Microsoft,Cisco etc
Campus Life
There two major fests which happen in our campus one is e-summit which is conducted by the e-cell which is basically the entrepreneurship club of RVCE and the other fest 8th mile is conducted by raag the cultural club of RVCE. Books are available and students can issue books on their name and borrow it from the library for 15 days and then they have to re-register . Classrooms are well furnished and smart boards are installed which are basically large computer screen . College provides good sports opportunities and also provides a lot of opportunities for extra curricular activities through fests and clubs. There are many social groups which are called clubs in our college such as coding club,e-cell,ashwa(sports car) etc which provides real time industry experience to students.
