Course Curriculum Overview
I took Electronics and Instrumentation because I am quite interested in Hardware part. Faculty to student ratio is decent as compared to other colleges. Most of the faculties have done their PhD's. We have 3 internal exams(CIEs) and an end semester exam.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies come for internships as well like Texas Instruments,Adobe etc but most of them take interns for software roles. Though there are options for core also but little less when compared to software.
Placement Experience
Many companies visit the campus like Goldman Sachs, Intel,Nvidea,Airbus etc. Highest offer is of 96 LPA and average package varies for different branches like for my branch it is around 14 LPA, for CSE it is around 20 LPA, for Mechanical it is around 12 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee hike policy is roughly 10% per year on the tuition fees. I am not aware of any scholarship or financial assitance but some people have got scholarships if they took admission through KCET(which is another mode of admission if you have done your 12th from Karnataka).
Campus Life
Our annual and biggest fest is 8th Mile(which is the most famous and fantastic fest in Bangalore). E Summit here is also quite good in terms of people coming and concerts. In library you will find almost all the books you require. Classrooms and Sport facilities are decent only(don't expect a lot). Many clubs are there on the campus, few of them are: Rotaract Club, E Cell, Project Jatayu(Drone club), Ashwa Racing,Footprints(Dance Club),Alaap etc.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels here are quite good, rooms have good space(for first to third years mostly they give 2 sharing rooms and for fourth years single sharing rooms). But the problem is here hostels are limited so they allot on first come first serve basis. Although construction is goin on in campus and maybe they are constructing new hostels(so this limited problem would be solved). Meal in hostel is decent(don't expect a lot????). Registration for hostel is done when your registration in the college is completed.
Admission
I gave COMEDK entrance exam. You need a decently good rank to get into RVCE. Rest the counselling process is quite long and there are multiple rounds in counselling. I wish that if the counselling is made a little easier then it would be very good.
