- Sports complex is good as it provides every facility to play nearly every games from indoor to outdoor.
- Football ground is very good and well maintained.
- Hostel and Department management is very good which is neat and clean.
Dislikes
- Number of faculties with respect to students is very less.
- There is no maintenance for cricket ground.
- Quality of hostel food needs to be improved as sometimes it is very hard to eat.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose mechanical engineering because of my rank as I belong to open category. Faculty is above average in my opinion but number of faculty is less like the student faculty ratio is about 60:1. But faculty members are highly qualified with many years of experience and some teach good some not. Term exams were on time and it is quite to pass in mechanical engineering like by studying one night before exam you can pass.
Internships Opportunities
Company Msci - SDE role- 6M intern with stipend 50k per month. Company genpact - sde role - 6M + FTE with stipend 25k for 6M and 13lpa for FTE. Company piramal - bussiness analyst - 6M + FTE with 25k stipend and 11 lpa for fte.
Placement Experience
Campus placements are good and placements starts from 7th semester. Two months intership opportunities start from 5th sem. Names of some companies are msci, atlasian, google, microsoft, hero corp etc,. Highest package was offered by atlasian which is 82lpa and average package is 13lpa. About 90% students got placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
Again fee structure is dependent on family income and your category. Scholarships are available here. I don't get any scholarship because my father work in public sector so I don't know much about them. Job opportunities for mechanical engineering are good compared to other branches in my opinion.
Campus Life
Campus is about 600 acres so you definitely need some vehicles to roam here and there. There are many societies like ISTE, IEEE, E-Cell, Aaroha, Technosearch, etc and clubs like robotics club etc. Library is good and you can find almost any academic book but lack in personal development books. Classrooms are nice and tidy with good infra. Sports and extra curricular activities are good like there are inter nit competition etc.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel life very good, the facilities are good but some hostels may have water problem. Mess quality is not that good in my opinion because I'm from south india so i don't like that much. Hostels are affordable and easy to register for them but served as first cum first served basis. If you want to rent rooms then are areas around college for that.
Admission
Jee Mains is the eligibility course. One can find the application form on the official website of NTA. The application fees depend on the category you belong to. The application will be open two months from the exam month. Reservation is very beneficial for getting into a good college regardless of open rank. The admission process depends on the college you are joining.
