Remarks
I think the college management can initiate an alumni program wherein old students can be invited as guest speakers and regular discussions can happen with the students
Entrance Preview
The admission was on merit and I selected this college for its curriculum and because of the experienced faculty.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was professionally designed and structured. All the subjects were not just relevant for Bachelors in Business Administration, but also for Post Graduation. Every subject and the curriculum helped us gain more insight into each area.
Internships Opportunities
No, our college did not provide the internship. We had group projects through which were on the basis of subjects and we had to submit the detailed report post the project completion.
Placement Experience
No, our college did not provide internship or placement opportunities as this was an undergraduate program (bachelor in business administration) and there were no campus placements for the undergraduate program. Though it was completely up to the students to get into the job and do an executive MBA/ PGDBM
College Events
Our college use to celebrate all the events/festivals but Navratri Celebration was one of the most important events. Apart from Navratri celebration we had one full week of Special Day celebration, Teachers Day Celebration, Ad-mad Show, Drama Competition, and last but not the least - Annual Day Celebration
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure was slightly more as compared to government colleges, but the infrastructure and brand name had its own value. It was almost 10 times the fee for NRI students and was less than half for SC/ST/OBC in order to make it feasible for those classes
Fees and Financial Aid
Not sure about any loan or scholarship programs then. They might have introduced a few now, but there were none during 1999 - 2002.
Campus Life
Campus life was great. there were enough inter-college competitions but sports was almost non-existent. There were enough inter college drama, debates, and other similar competitions. The gender ratio was also fairly OK. Navratri is one of the most important festivals was celebrated across colleges and was one of the most exciting occasion.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is not strong enough but our senior students were fairly helpful. I think we should have regular Alumni meets and occasion where we can share our experience with the students.
Exam Structure
Our college timings were 1:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Exams were held twice a year - Internal & External. External exams were the final university examination. The exams were usually one every day so there were no preparation holidays in between. We usually had preparation holidays before the final exams.
Admission
Admission was on merit basis - Total Percentage of 12th Standard. We had to fill up the admission form and provide the relevant documents/ proof. The selection was on the basis of cut off. There was no interview or group discussions then. The admission forms were available from the college office - admissions department. The entire procedure was well structured and simple to follow.
Faculty
All the Faculty Members were well trained and experienced professionals in their respective fields. They were all dedicated not just during the session but also post the sessions as well. They were also available for discussions during the weekends. The teaching style not just made the concepts clear but also helped students develop new tricks and presentation skills
