Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course I choose was BCOM I opted this course because I really liked the subject accounts and maths and as I researched in BCOM they give you boths the subject to study. But also there was a reason I wanted to do CMA i.e. CERTIFIED MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTENT. And in cma they have accounts and maths so it would really help me in both and I wouldn't have to study more so that was also a reason I opted for BCOM. And the faculty members and the student council and teaching methods of my college have always helped me to get better in my subjects. They always clear any doubts I capture. And about the exams the CU BOARD is very hard in ways. It's very hard to score good marks because of the marks distribution and the way the strictness they have.

Internships Opportunities

1

TCS, TATA, GOOGLE, MICROSOFT AND more..,. I'm not sure about the stipend that's introduced in my college so. There are many types of projects introduced in every semester we have to do 2 project and assignment online offline both.

Placement Experience

2.5

The students of my college are eligible for placements are their last 2 semester. And many companies like TCS, AMAZON, FLIPKART AND ETC.. The highest package is of 16LPA and average package is of 8lpa. So the placement is decent. And the deserving students percentage is high in my college. My plans are to finish my CMA first and then try to give CAT examination and also get admitted in a good MBA COLLEGE.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure of my college is average because it's a government affiliated college. So it's maintained by the government so I really don't mind about the fees structure of the college. And also in 2 times of my course the college introduce us scholarships and also helps us to motivate and make us enroll it. And in financial assistance is only provided to the students who belongs to west bengal state.

Campus Life

2

The life in Kolkata is very cool and happy. There are many type of annual fest hosted by colleges or groups and they welcome everyone. And in my college also there are many curriculum activities held by my college is very best. And also in my college the availability of books and everything is very accordingly. So I really don't have any problems regarding the resources.

Admission

No, the admission process was very good and was in very systematic way I had no problems neither I had any complaint. And you need to have a minimum of 65% of marks to get admitted and then there's a merit based admission where if you have scored much marks then other you'll get admission. And the application forms of the college is very easy to find and easily accessible in all the formats and the fees of my course (BCOM) is of total 14,000rs and you can opt whatever subject you're interested. There's a reservation benefit where if you belongs to WEST BENGAL you get benefitted by the government and also there are many scholarships programs run by CU GOVERNMENT where you can get full refund of your course. And I don't have any problem or questions regarding any betterment of admission process of my college because it's very stress-free and is in very easily accessible format and anyone can easily enroll and have minimum eligibility criteria can crack the merit list and get admission.

Other Applied Colleges

Scottish Church College | Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com] {Hons.} (Accounting and Finance)

The list was declared before I got admitted to the college

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I'm pursuing because I'm interested in understanding how businesses work and want a solid foundation in commerce and finance. It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.
