Likes
- The diversity of people , there are many people from different parts of the country and thus this creates an environment where we learn from each other.
- The clubs , there are various clubs in our colleges and they are also continuosly working and gives a nice boost to our POR.
- The fests, the college regularly conducts fests and thus we get a nice exposure to different environments of tech , sports and cult.
Dislikes
- There are certain type of cheap people ,who do nothing but hate the others.
- It's far away from my home so sometimes I miss my home.
- The infrastructure of the college is poor and hasn't been taken care of since decades.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum that I choose deals with semiconductors and other chip and IC devices. The curriculum prepares one well for real world challenges. Still in 1st year so not studying core subjects. Difficulty of exams is sometimes very tough since ECE is a difficult branch.
Internships Opportunities
There are a lot of internship opportunities if you have the required knowledge to crack them , the stipend offered is also very high and sometimes you get the opportunity to do internships under other colleges like IITs and etc. There are many opportunities to build different projects our college has a dedicated programming club and thus the opportunities offered are very high.
Placement Experience
The students become eligible for internships by the third year and for placements by the fourth year. Many companies like (oracle, Samsung, Amazon , Microsoft , Adobe etc.) visit our campus and i expect to see a hike in the no.of companies in the upcoming future. Generally most of the diligent students get easily placed while those who take the exams lightly and flunk 2-3 times do not end up getting any interns or placements. I plan on getting an on campus placement and after that I'll see if I can do MBA or something like that .
Fees and Financial Aid
This year the fees increased , i don't know about previous years though. The cost of my education reduced to 1/3 rd because of the 1 to 5 lakh criterion. The college scholarship is what I am availing. I haven't taking none of the campus employment . I believe the hostel fees is high for what they offer.
Campus Life
The annual fests and eclectika the cult fest, avartan the tech fest, samar the sports fear , e summit the entrepreneurship fest. There are many clubs that the students are encouraged to participate in . Books are available in library but i prefer reading the e books and using online lectures. Sports facilities are mediocre but the environment for sports is nice , people are competitive. Other than that their are hobby clubs like photography and music etc.
Hostel Facilities
The room has just enough facilities to make it live able. Quality of meal is below average. Menu is monotonous. Even the Almirah in my room was broken and wasn't repaired till the 2nd semester. Registration process is easy but hostels are alloted on rank basis so only those with a good rank get hostel in 1st year. The hostels are affordable but are poor in what they offer.
Admission
The course is eligible to everyone, application form can be found on Josaa website,dates are most probably in Feb, January and the other attempt in April. Reservation benefits play very crucial role but unfortunately I wasn't able to avail them being a general,other state male. Difficulty of the exam is moderate and there are two attempts in one year making the exam easier to crack. Rather than judging solely on bookish knowledge other aspects like national and international achievements can also be considered.
