- Campus is Ragging Proof, i.e. No Ragging is allowed and it actually is true.
- Placement opportunities are good, considering the companies that visits and average packages they offer.
- Alumni Network : Alumni network of NIT Raipur is really strong, as they are placed in various companies and some of them are even CEOs, one such example is former Wipro CEO, Abid Ali Neemuchwala.
Dislikes
- Hostels are not available for all, as the no of rooms are limited, hence students who score good marks are given hostels while others have to arrange for themselves on their own.
- Maintenance of Campus is not very well done specially of grounds, as the parts of football and handball ground is usually covered with long grown grasses, cricket ground is more like a lake for almost 4-5 months of the year.
Course Curriculum Overview
I find the NIT Raipur course curriculum quite good ith practica; projects that relate to the real world. The teachers are knowledgeble and approcachable,teaching methods, like inviting people from different companies to talk about their experiences and tell us actual requirements of companies. Overall NIT Raipur's curriculum is good, but it could be improved, specially adjusting the exam schedule could make things less stressful for students.

Placement Experience
The Placements of the college is really good and a positive side for this college. The Students from 5th semester are eligible for on-campus internships and students from 7th semester are elligible for on-campus placements. Several tech giants visits teh company which includes Amazon, NVIDIA, Adobe, Microsoft, Cognizant, Wipro, JP Morgan, Vedanta, etc. Amazon, Adobe and Microsoft hire about 3-4 students each every year for the role of Software Developer with a constant package of 55,00,000 per annum. which is the highest package offered by the company in on-campus placements. The average package offered varies from company to company, branch to branch and roles. the highest average package is offered to CSE, IT students which is about 18 ,00,000 per annum. the total percentage of students placed is quite good and is around 80% overall, and about 90-92% for branches like CSE, IT and Mettalurgy.
Fees and Financial Aid
Students belonging to SC,ST category do not have to pay the tution fees, so they just pay exam fees and all which sums up around 15000 per year, same goes for students belonging to general EWS category with their annual income less than 100000. I personally have not undertaken any campus employment.

Admission
The admission process is simple though lengthy. Entrance Exam: To get admission in this college, one has to appear in an entrance exam called JEE Mains conducted by NTA twice every year in a gap of about 30-40 days. The exam is conducted usually in the months of January and March. The application forms are made available for filling on the official website of NTA, usually before 1 month of examination, i.e. in month of December and Feburary, The fees is 900 for male and 800 for female. the exam is a bit tough, it is of 300 marks and comprises of 3 sections (Maths, Phy, Chem) each section has equal weightage, the curriculum of the exam is same as of class 11 and 12. The detailed syllabus is provided as a pdf on NTA's official website. Eligibility: The student must be appearing for or has appeared for class 12 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Maths as his/her subjects. Moreover admission is only granted if the student scores >=75% in his/her Class 12 examination.

I did not opt for this college, because I felt NIT Raipur has a bigger brand value and face in the industry, also the fees of IIIT Naya Raipur was not affordable for me.
