My beautiful college

All the facilities are there like building, laboratories, labs, buses, canteen, stationary. Food in stationary are very good and economical. Bathroom for the students are in a bit bad quality. Latches are not there on the bathroom door. Classrooms become hot as hell in summers.

This college takes admission from IIT JEE and CGPET. It almost takes admission from CG PET. And if the students haven't appeared for CGPET , they will have to give some donation amount to get admitted. I scored 15000 rank in CGPET. I chose this college because my rank was very bad and I had no other options left and also I wanted a college near by my home. The admission process is very easy, there is no interview during admissions.

The course of our college is normal like the every other engineering college. But from next year the courses will be changed. New course is approved by AICTE. All the subjects that an engineer should study is covered. But to study extra, students need to join coaching.

Our college doesn't provide any internship. During the summer internship time, college release a list of training centres, where we have to do training.

The number of placements are good in our college like every 2 out of 3 students is placed in any company. But the packages they offer is very low. The average package is nearly 2 lpa and the highest package on campus is 5lpa. If the students want more package, they have to competete among other students and attend off campus. But tge off campus placements are very difficult.

About the technical festival, events like hackathon, robotics, robowars, blind coding etc happen. Participation is also good. Many workshops are conducted in tenchnical fests including both without fee and with entry fees. Coming towards the cultural fests, it's not that good as expected by a student. Some events are good while some events are boring. Night events are good when celebrities come to perform. The celebrity night of the event is a little big with nearly 4000 students.

The fee structure is feasible. It is average of the private college's fees. The college fee is 35000/- per semester. And hostel fee is 50000/- per year. The fees is different for different branches. Tgey differ in like 200-500 rupees. And the labs fine, library fine is others. The fees for the last semester for engineering students is 34000. A refund of 1500 is given at the time of taking Transfer Certificate.

I haven't availed any scholarship from the college. Loan facility is not there for the fees. If we want to pay fees after some time, we have to talk with the Director and get signed in an application. Then we can pay the fees afterwards.

The students ratio for boys and girls are 1:1 . Coming towards the curriculur activities, workshops are conducted regularly for different topics depending upon the interest of students. Labs are there for practicals. All the rights of students are reserved and not harmed. Economic status of college is good but they doesn't raise any fund for the activities organized by students.

In case of hostels, the rooms are sharing room, each shared by three students. Attach lat-bath is there in each room. Also, one common washroom is also there in each floor of hostel building. The hostel seats are enough but due to the bad quality of mess food students prefer PGs nearby college. The cost of PGs are less than that hostel's. It is 2000-3000/- per month.

Alumni come to give us guest Lectures. They guide us for further studies, clear most of our doubts, give us their number so that we can clear out doubs personally. Senior students are also helpful as tgey provide notes, guide for our projects and internships, take our extra classes if we're in doubts.

The exams are not conducted in the same college we are studying. Exam centres are different. Exams leave us exhausted mainly in the summer days. Talking about the practical exams, labs are there for the exams, and the practical is very chilled out, it is not at all hectic.

The admission process is very easy. First we have to appear for CGPET entrance exam abbreviation for Chhattisgarh PET entrance exam for engineering. Then wait for some days while the results are out. Then the college gives days for online counseling. Then we have to select few colleges number wise in which we want admission, according to the rank, the University allots your the college and the branch also. If you're satisfied with that, you have to take admission in that particular college otherwise people wait for second and third counseling. The process is same for 2nd and 3rd counseling also. There is no interview round before final admission.

Overall faculty rating is very low. The number of faculties are good but the qualified ones are low. 1 in every 4 faculties is good in teaching while the other are just for the salaries. Some faculties just dictate the notes and doesn't make us understand it.
