NIT Raipur, A lot of opportunities but at a cost

NIT Raipur has a good curriculum, here one semester lasts for 4-5 months. The curriculum here is made for students in an effective manner, so that students can learn useful skills without compromising with his/her studies. The curriculum here prepares us for all the odds that we might face after our college life, varying from sports skills to communication skills (specially dedicated labs for it), dance, art, and music. In short, you get endless opportunities. AT Present there is no need for such improvement in course curriculum as it is all already updated for recent market, latest technology. Teaching MEthod is very poor here in NIT, Very less Assistant professors and all phd students take our class, which i individually feel is difficult to understand and even them on a temporary basis. SO here in NIT Raipur you have to give Mid SEM and END SEM and have to pass them in order to get to the next semester.Exam is moderate level and usually depends on faculties/hods.

Companies like microsoft , Adobe , Linkedin took interns from nit raipur on paid basis and gave them good PPO.Most of them got software developers , software engineers. Also some hired for data analyst from service based campus.

from 5-6th semester students become eligible to get internship which can land them a PPO offer. Companies like Adobe , Goldman Sachs , JSW , TCS , Cognitive, MIcrosoft etc companies come including on and off campus.Also 70-80 students from batch of 100 got placed from metallurgy branch. HIghesh package received this year was 62 lakhs INR and average was 9-10 LPA.from every bracnch almost 60-70% students were placed. I have plans of doing MTECH after getting the degree.

SO Here in NIT Raipur fees structure depends upon category i.e for General category you have to pay 72,100 INR for a Single Semester and if you fall under sc/st/gen-ews (income less than 1 Lakh per year) you have to pay 8,070 INR for single Semester , which is affordable for most students.Usually Here fees prices dont increase , and is steady throughout 4 year. College also offers scholarship for its students who cant afford to pay their fees, also many scholarships like reliance industries , tata , and one goverment scheme as well offers scholarship to students of nit , but they take aptitude test and an interview round for the scholarship. My Complete cost of Education here in NIT inclding Tution , service fees and also other compulsory charges is 72,110*8= 5,76,800 INR and it is excluding other charges as hostel facilities.Currently ,There is no undertaking , including job roles , resposiblities and the stipends awarded - available for BTECH students in NIT Raipur,

All events that take place in nit are like Samar sports event in january , avinya in feb, electrika in feb end -march start any many more events throughout the year.NIT library have all good books varying from fictional to research , anyone with id card can avail , take books for reading.

I cleared jee mains with 95% percentile to get admission in nit raipur. I also appeared for jee advanced. So , For Admission in NITs,IITs. you have to clear jee mains and advaned respectively.. For General category you have to score above 95% Percentile in Jee mains to get into decent NITs.I got Metallurgy Branch in NIT Raipur with 95% percentile , you coul get civil for the same.Admission process is quite simple . So there would be two counselling rounds for IITs and NITS .That are JOSAA and CSAB , you would be charged to enter the counseliing rounds , all amount would be refunded if you dont get any seat. IITs counseling ends with JOSAA counselling , which means you cant opt for iits through CSAB. CSAB is mostly for NITS . I also got NIT in CSAB Phase.After getting a seat in college , you would get a joining date , where your all data is verified and admission process takes place. During my admission in i had to wait whole day for the process.So make sure you are going with stay plan
