Course Curriculum Overview
National Institute of Technology, Raipur provides rigorous and comprehensive curriculum that cover core mechanical principles. The students receive practical exposure to such principles through labs, internships and projects.
Placement Experience
In NIT Raipur, the students can sit for campus placements from fourth year of the course. Many companies like Tata, Wipro, Capegemini, Infosys, Adobe, L&T, Info Edge and Deloitte. The average package offered to students in 2022 was 10.12 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee for pursuing engineering in NIT Raipur for a general category student is 1,41,680 in the year 2023-24. This is just college fees and excludes the hostel fees. Mahanadi Hostel, which is allotted to first-year girls charged 54,250 this year, which includes hostel maintenance, mess charges, hostel rent, electricity and water charges.
Campus Life
NIT Raipur's technical fest is called Aavartan. It is organised by the students who are part of the Technocracy Club. Our college's cultural fest, Eclectika is organised by Sanskriti, the cultural committee. It has various dance, music, yoga and other such performances.
Hostel Facilities
The facilities provided by girls' hostel include mess food, electricity, water, and 24x7 security. The meals provided are healthy. Girls need to apply for hostel facilities while the admission process is going on.
Admission
To get admission to the National Institute of Technology, Raipur, one must take the national level entrance exam called 'Joint Entrance Examination'. This exam is conducted in two shifts every year and the student will be qualified if and only if he/she secures the same or more percentile as the cutoff percentile. The percentile system evaluates the position of the student among a total of a hundred students. This 3-hour exam evaluates the student's problem-solving skills in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The difficulty of questions ranges from moderate to difficult.
