IIITA-The centre of excellence

Course curriculum is decent but one has to have decent knowledge of physics along with some interest in electronic to do well in this course. The curriculum prepares well as there are many lab sessions held which gives an overall idea of all the concepts involved. For teaching methods I think the professors should more frequently use projectors which are a time saver and it helps in understanding the concept easily. The exams are held twice a semester and the difficulty ranges from medium to hard.

There are various internship opportunities available in 3rd year. A person can sit in an on or off campus internship for the role of software developer or other. Sprinklr, Atlassian are few of companies that visit our college for internship. A student must have made some project which can be implemented somewhere. The project could be an web development or app development project.

The students are allowed to sit for placements in 7 semester. In 5 semester students are eligible for internship opportunities. Every top product based company visits and recruits from this college few of which are Amazon, BlackRock, Microsoft, Adobe etc . Highest package offered was 82.5Lpa and average was close to 30Lpa. Percentage of students getting placement is approximately 96%. After getting a degree I plan to work as a software developer in a product based company.

The fees of the whole year comes close to 2 lakh per annum. The rate hikes in tution fees are less frequent. The complete cost including all charges comes to 13 or 14 lakh. Financial aid is there for sc/st/pwd students. For other students there are various other scholarships available which can be checked out from iiita's official website. As of now I have not undertaken any responsibility and so have not been awarded anything.

Our annual festival is Effervescence usually held in month of December or January. We also have a sports festival Asmita which is held in March and technical fest Aparoksha held in April. Various books and journals required for any subject or for any understanding is available. Allahabad the basic facilities are present in classrooms and there are projectors and a computer in case teaching is to be done through presentation. Sports and various extracurricular activities are offered and one can easily spend time during free time. There is a social club Prayaas which is a student initiative to help poor students residing in nearby villages. Every type of help and assistance is offered to them and their families as well.

The eligibility of the course requires the student to pass the 10+2 class and student is eligible in the year he appears for 12 and the next year. To get admission one may fill the jee mains form available on nta website. Reservation is given to people having PWD/sc/st/obc/ general ews or those having dasa certificate. Exams are held every year twice, date for which is released on the government portal nta and difficulty ranges from easy to medium. For course curriculum I think this is a right way as there are too many candidates appearing for the exam.
