MGIT- One of the under rated Colleges in Hyderabad

I wouldnt say MGIT is all flowers and freshness because it has some thorns too, But for me it is one of the place i wish to be with my friends every morning when i wake up.

I took Eamcet as well as Jee Mains and i got 103 in jee mains through which i got admission in MGIT through B-Category seats. I chose it because it is one of the best colleges for mechanical course.

It is good but as we know that the indian education system does not live up to its name becaus of the theoretical knowledge imposed on the students and burdened with hectic portions for every semester. This makes the students not understand the concept but buttify it.

Yes the college does provide internships in reputed companies and workshops but the internships are provided only to the third year students. The stipend provided is based on the performance of the candidate. it becomes very nice since the candidates get nice exposure.

The placements in the college are very well compared to all the other colleges. It is a must visit for companies like accenture, Tcs etc. There are good job opportunites since the students have good performance in their studies and this adds to the plus point.

Mgit has its Main Event known as Nirvana. It is very joyful and entertaining event celebrated by not only the students of Mgit but other students too. It is a three day event in which the first day is technical day followed by Traditional and cultural DJ night.

There has been a big increase in the fee structure since its achievements and ranking. MGIT has been in the top 150 colleges in India. Even though it is one of the best private colleges but the fees is expensive for students but it is reimbursed if you get good ranks in qualifying exam or if you are if lower caste.

No there is no scholarship provided by the college for the students since most of the students get state and central scholarships. Sometimes the college offers scholarship to students who have excelled in the college very nicely.

This looks to me the best question I can't think of what to write there is so much I want to say about the campus life. I would highlight few of them. Mgit has one of the best Greenery around the college with all trees and saplings all over. it is well maintained and has two Canteens which provide delicious food and snacks but no Non-veg food is available. There is no discriminatory and Mgit takes Ragging seriously. There are many clubs like robotics club literary club which regularly organize events.

To be honest, I don't know much about the hostel facilities and the mess food, But I have visited the hostel to look by for a friend and I took a round of the hostel. It not far located from the college and is at a walkable distance. The facilities are good. students get cold and hot water. Food is average. each room has 3 -5 students and they are big enough.

There are many well noted Alumni from Mgit. Recently a women in the navy was appreciated by our prime minister Narendra Modi for her work. She was an Mgitian.

Usually, one semester is 3-4 months long then after the portion is been taught we have the internals of 25 marks each. we have 6 internal exams during a 3-day span consisting of 2 internals every day. External lab exams are then followed. After this, we have external theory exams after 10 days.

I applied for the college through B-Category quota which gives admission through Jee Mains ranks. And this category is not in management but same as counselling and merit based. I got admission easily since i had got good rank in Jee. I have to pay the same fees as the ones who got admission through counselling.

The faculty is very good and well experienced. We have faculty who have multiple PhDs and some of the faculty who have a very good name in the industry which not only helps in knowledge but also exposure. The faculty is very oriented towards the colleges' goals.
