- does not have accommodation for all the students, and students get hostel based on their ranks (in 1st year) and then their CGPA afterwards
- feel, when I was there, research work was some what lower as compared to the similar ranked NITs, this may be subjective.
Course Curriculum Overview
Everything is all right. All the faculties are well educated and are professionals in their subjects. Most of them are from IIT's their style of teaching is too good. Few are also from Foreign universities such as Oxford and cambridge.
Placement Experience
NIT Raipur placement's assistance is assured to all students. The overall average package offered to students in 2022was INR 10.12 LPA. The college is visited by top companies such as Deloitte, Wipro Limited, and others. The placement-related aspects are hence taken care of by the Department of Training & Placement. As we had talked with some seniors they told it is increasing day by day.
Fees and Financial Aid
Basically its a national institute under central government so those who are sc/st they have to pay zero tution fee . Also those whose are under gen /gen ews/obc they also get fee waiver those income is less than 1 lakh they get full fee waiver. And those whose income is between 1-5 lakh they get 2/3 fee waiver.
Campus Life
Campus is too beautiful basically A few students are also known to complain about the allotment of hostel facilities. Only 30% of students are allotted the hostel on the basis of merit. This could be another major drawback.
Admission
Admission process is basically taken on the basis of jee mains Rank. Cutoff for all branches varies with category as well as home state and other state quota . If you are not under any reservation then u have to score minimum 94 percentile to get the last branch of this college which is Biomedical Engineering.
