Engineering making process

Engineering can be done from any college. But eng from NIT/IIIT/IIT makes your life successful. Apart from the study environment, there are many other things like cultural fest, sports fest, etc. Students can explore themselves in different fields. There are many good companies that come for placements. Many students make their career in singing, acting, dancing, etc. These four years are there to explore your inner passion.

Internships are given to every branch. From starting of 3rd year, many companies come here for internships. In mining, Vedanta, Tata Steel, tcs, etc. come here for internship. Student go there for 2 month or 6 month.

Our college provides great opportunities in terms of placements. Many companies visit our college on campus placements and provides good packages. Average package of mining is about 10 lakhs and highest offer received by mining student this year was 55 lakhs. Most mining students get job in core companies but non core companies still provide opportunities to sit on placement. Internship opportunities are widely available in our college.

Fees are generally less than private collages. And it is different as per category for gen and income over 5 lakhs the fees is 72000 for a sem and other gets refund as per govt policy. So overall fees for a year is 142000. And 4 years course complete fees is 545000 and if hostel included then 710000. ST and SC students get 100% refund.Gen and OBC below 1lac also get full refund while those who have income between 1 and 5 lac get two third of fees as refund.

My experience was good in this past year. Seniors are interactive and helpful. Professors are very helping and understanding apart from all this the clubs, comitee are very good and the members. coordinators are informative and cooperative, and the legacy is maintained very well about the cultures. There are special events between clubs so that better interactions of clubs members can take place it gives chances to make new friends and better bonds. Infrastructure is decent here on campus is relatively smaller compared to other nits and its but every imp facility is provided within the space.

Hostels are given to every student in every NIT. But in NIT Raipur, there are fewer hostel. So it is given on the basis of rank and distance of college from home . Many students doesn't get hostal. Hostal fees for one semester is 55k . Food are not good as home but it is relatively fine. Privacy is given to students. One guard is always available at gate . Timing are very strict. For fresher it is 9pm . In senior hostal it is 11pm. After reaching collage you will get hostal on basis your rank.

Student who took PCM in class 12 are eligible for jee exam. It's application process start in December. There are two attempts of jee mains .First one is in January and second attempt is in April month usually.Application fee for general and obc is 100 , for SC-ST and female candidates is 500. All students are eligible for both attempts, best performance is consider as your final result. Result come in the form of percentile. Percentile is relative term . Generally getting higher percentile in first attempt as compared to second at same mark due to competition level. There are some reservations, reserved students get many benefit. Then your final result came in the month of May and you got your rank. After that counselling process starts. You get your college on the basis of your rank.
