- Our intrastructure is little poor. the campus doesnot hold the number of hostels it should hold for students
- Some of the faculty members were rude sometimes in terms of getting approval but overall they was good.
Course Curriculum Overview
btech is already a tough course. and there is a lot to learn and practical knowledge is very crucial. in my course mining the practical and in field knowledge plays a key role. so the relevance of course is very much and professors understands this college faculty helps in achieving this goals. so when it comes to rating i would rate it 7/10 . and rather than course the extra curriculum like dance , art , etc are also cherished and have a great oppportunities to explore our talents.
Internships Opportunities
companies include vadanta, amazon , google , microsoft, goldman sachhs, hero , mahindra, tata, . they hire as coders, and employees. and developers too as a mining students we get to interm mines and we get to learn the work process thier , later are alotted mines as per tasks and areas.
Placement Experience
placements last year was very good . our cs and it branch have average placements of 25 lakhs. and our branch mining had 11 lakhs so overall the placments ratio was 75 percent . on campus placements are good here rather than this the mtech , and gate scorers are also present. so most of the students get employment and some have decent packages too. Colleges try their best to get every student the packages and companies visit our colleges for the on campus placements like vedanta , mahindra etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
fees are not much. for gen category and salary above 5 lakhs the fees is 70000 per sem . so 140000 for a year and if hostels alloted then 710000 for course. and for st scs govt provide a 100 percent refund over fees. and also for general below 1 lakh too. for general of salary between 1 to 5 lakhs 2/3 refund is given by govt. campus gives an employment of 75 percent to our branch and its pretty decent for a college. and in campus selections are good here
Campus Life
my experience was very good. i interacted with a lot of students and faculty including seniors , professors . most of them was very interactive and understanding. they helped in several problems and campus related issues. there are seveal clubs comitees which incllude raaga - singing club , nrityam - dance club, motorix- motor and machine club, robotix - robot , ai club, etc and this are very cultural and interactive the club members get special recognitions among themselves and get a chance to get friendly and social skills too.
Admission
students who take pcm as subjects in 12th and have scored more than 75 percent in 12th boards are eligible for the jee mains and adv. Nits are alotted on basis of mains percentiles. NIT raipur holds a decent nirf ranking of 70 . then jossaa conducts a counselling round in which colleges are alotted according to our ranks. in which several quotas act as deciding factor. and u get branch on basis of cutoff percentiles and ranks. further csab rounds are held for left seats. some expects which i dont like is the reservations cutoffs for women. i feel equal opportunities are given to women and men but nits and iits give a large quota just to promote them.
