Entrance Preview
I was admitted on the basis of my 12th percentage. My percentage was 83.2%. I opted for Amity as it's the best not for profit private university with ample amount of opportunities and a very good ambience.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure is commendable, the first year focuses on all the science subjects as well as engineering subjects. The knowledge of each subject imparted to us was deep enough for the application of different concepts in real life. The teachers were very good to students and taught with high efforts and explained every topic thoroughly.
Internships Opportunities
I don't know, there's no internship for students who have cleared 1st year. But as far as I know, there are students have to search for internships on their own.
Placement Experience
The placement and job opportunities are good only if you're through with the subject. If you're knowledgeable in your field of study and have the right skills which are imparted by the teachers, you'll get a good placement for sure. There's no scope of placement if you haven't studied entirely during the college, else you'll definitely get a good placement.
College Events
The events are celebrated twice a year, i.e., once every semester. During the odd semester, we have a sports event called 'Sangathan' which consists of various sports played between two departments. In the even semester, we have an event called 'Amiphoria' which consists of various technical as well as cultural events and a DJ night.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is moderate. Neither too expensive nor too feasible. But you get scholarships based on your performance and results. So, if you're a bright scholar, you'll get scholarships and it won't be expensive anymore for you. We've got a scope of 25%, 50%, and 100% scholarship.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, the scholarships are awarded to students based on their performance in 12th standard board exams and are continued only if they rank good in the college else they're discontinued.
Campus Life
The campus life is pretty hectic due to regular classes and a compulsory 75% attendance. Talking of gender ratio, we've got lesser girls in B.Tech. but in other departments, there is almost 1:1 ratio. There are international students too.The events are open to all and most of the students participate in events like making an AI, robot wars, robot races and there was an active participant in a debate too which was well organized and all the necessaries were provided to the students. There was a MUN too, which was well organized and the participants were given with all the necessities.
Hostel Facilities
I don't live in hostel but what I've heard from my hosteller friends is that the hostel is awesome, the only problem is that there is no A.C. so it gets pretty warm in summers and the hostel room is shared by two people, we've separate buildings for boys as well as girls.
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors are very helpful and good. They help us with notes and books. They also guide us from time to time, we've got picked up seniors as mentors too who clear all our doubts and are a communication channel between us and faculties.
Exam Structure
The exams had very strict checking. They are held twice a year, i.e., at the end of each semester. But the minors are taken at any time during the semester but students are informed beforehand. In minors, we've class tests and MCQs. The minors are sometimes hectic but we get ample amount of time in between two examinations.
Admission
I got admission on the basis of my 12th percentage. I went to the college, bought the form and asked for every detail, I was told each and every detail very patiently. Later, I went to the college with all the required documents like mark sheets, Aadhar card, etc. and submitted all the neccesaries and the bank draft for the fee.
