Course Curriculum Overview
The college tag of NIT , is a big factor. You expect exposre which you get as well. Teachers here are great! In the first year the classes are quiet hectic. like your day will start at 8 am and end at 5 pm or something. This is the class timing.
Internships Opportunities
Arcesium - SDE intern (1.25 Lacs per month) DBOI - 75000 Per month for intern (19lpa PPO) De Shaw - 1.5lacs for intern Visa - 90K per month. But do consider that they hire in very less numbers. Arcesium hired 2, DBOI did like 9-10, De Shaw again 2, VISA 4-5. out of all. All the companies I have mentioned were those who came in the internship drive in the year 2023. (for 2 month intern)
Placement Experience
Placements are good! For tech companies, since there is recession hiring is a bit on the lesser side. People do get high CTC like in the range of 55 lpa or something but thats like 5 out of 1000 case. Majority lie in the range of 12-24lpa. (talking about tech companies)
Fees and Financial Aid
No I think its great already, they do provide fee assistance on the basis of income so I dont think there is any need of improvement in this. I am from General category so I had no fee waiver so I paid the complete fees. (1.5 lacs per year Tuition fees)
Campus Life
AMAZING, WORTHY. There are plenty of clubs like E-Cell , Quiz Club (INTERACT), Finance and Consulting Club. I am also involved in them and they help you grow and learn. I am also the Overall Coordinator for the Finance and Consulting Club and I belive the club, and the seniors here helped me immensly in become a better version of myself. For sports, there is Shaurya, the sports club of our college.
Admission
The admission process for NIT Raipur involves qualifying through JEE Mains, where admission is based on your percentile and the available branches. APplications are faciliated through the counseling process managed by JOSAA. Personally I did not avail any reservation benefits. In terms of examinations, the academic year comprises 8 semesters, each with mid sem and end sem exams. I believe NIT Raipur could enhance several aspects : 1. Campus Life: Increasing hostel capacity to accommodate all students would greatly improve the living experience. 2. Curriculum: There is room for improvement in the specifity of the curriculum. 3. Labs and projects. Making labs more engaging and project based rather than solely focusing on written assignments would enhance practical learning. Assigning real life projects could significantly benefit students understanding and application of concepts. Overall, for me, NIT Raipur taught me a lot of things, and I will cherish it throughout my life!
