Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum is being examined by NMC but we all know that MBBS has a vast syllabus, difficulty is around moderate and here self study is a must. 1st yr is a bit difficult but as the time passes b/w those situations, everyone becomes used to it and adapt.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

In MBBS, after your 4.5 years of study.. everyone has to do a mandatory internship at the associated Hospital of your college. And you are provided with stipend for that one yr of internship which is around 25-30k.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure for UCMS has been changed recently i.e in 2023 and now it's about 100000 per year including the hostel charges. Scholarships are available in UCMS for the requiring ones. Total course duration is of 4.5yrs and then you have to proceed with 1yr mandatory internship in your college associated hospital only, where you'll be given stipend of around 25-30k per month.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life at the UCMS is quite good, there are different societies of the college for extra curricular activities. And they are fun to join. There is a big library and a reading room for students where you'll find each and every kind of books requiring in your course. There is ground to play basketball, cricket, football separately

Hostel Facilities

5

If we talk about the hostel rooms, you'll be provided with single room for each in the 1st year only and the rooms are spacious (for 1). Mess is there and the food quality is just okayish just as any other mess. Registration for the hostel room is done once after few days of your addmission into the course.

Admission

I am in UCMS which is affiliated to Delhi University, I cleared NEET 2023 and the cut off marks was around 660 out of 720. Eligibility for the NEET exam is, aspirant should of 17yrs of age and there is no age limit for the exam. Reading only NCERT for biology will do but for Physics and Chemistry you need to a little deep into the concepts.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The MBBS curriculum is mostly standard, but its relevance is super high because of the massive patient load at SJH. That clinical exposure is the key thing that prepares you for both real life and NEET PG later—that’s why I chose VMMC. Improvements? We need less lecturing and more interactive case discussions and maybe more emphasis on research. Exams are non-stop, seriously! We have internals/semester exams every 3-4 months. They are tough (50% passing), but they force you to study well for the final big Proffs. It’s tiring, but it works.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very well structured and includes detailed study of all the aspects of medicine which is very relevant in today's world. Since mbbs curriculum is more about practical and less about theory we get a really good patient exposure which makes us ready to deal with patient problems in real life. The course curriculum can be made a little less hectic as in fourth year there are 11 subjects to cover so they can be distributed equally in all the other years and teaching methods can be made more interactive instead of professors just reading the slides monotonously

Curriculum of mbbs is very comprehensive and makes you capable of handling medical emergencies, and not miss out on diagnosing critical cases. With the new CBME curriculum by nmc in place, additional focus is also given on the AETCOM (attitude, ethics and communication) module which is aimed at improving the quality of healthcare professionals produced by this country.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is decided by the NMC therefore it is same for all of the doctors. Our college has a good clinical exposure and thus we learn a lot. The course prepares you well, but you always have to learn by yourself. In the area of clinical expertise the treatment of common disease must be taught separately. We have exams Nearly every 3 months, which can be tough to manage, considering that you have to score an average of more than 50% in them . Difficulty level is intermediate
