Remarks
The college provides the best to the students in terms of academics activities and everything. College is diverse. There's much more to explore everday. It provides a lot of exposure in every field.
Entrance Preview
I gave neet(ug) and other medical examinations in year 2017. I didn't score enough to get a government mbbs college. Didn't want to drop an other year, so I opted btech biotech which is a professional course and offers 100% placement after the completion of the course.
Course Curriculum Overview
This course is of four years. Any student who is contemplating on pursuing a career in Biotechnology must be aware that this field is still developing in India. Therefore, the number of job openings and pay packages are both very low when compared with IT and CS fields. After a BTech degree, students can find jobs in pharmaceutical companies, research labs and institutions in India.
Internships Opportunities
Yes. Students are given the ntcc work every year. NTCC stands for 'non-teaching credit course' in which students are given one topic for research. This course is compulsory and students have to submit the research paper in the given tenure. The students can do internships for their help in ntcc.
Placement Experience
Placement and job opportunities are quite good of this institute. As Amity is one of the few universities which offers btech biotech in India so the placements offered are quite good. The most famous companies which came this year were Wipro, accenture and hcl. Many of my seniors got very good placement in these companies. Highest placement offered this year was of 7 lakhs whereas average placement of 3-4 lakhs were offered to each student.
College Events
Amity is known for it's events in whole NCR. The main event of Amity is 'Amity youth festival' which is organized every year in the month of March. This event is quite big and many other universities and colleges take part in it. It continues for three days. It consists of several competitions of singing, dancing, modelling, debates, drawing, drama and everything that you can think of. Many technical workshops are also organized in this event for the students. Besides ayf, the other important event is 'manthan' which is all about sports and is organized in the month of August and lasts till a month.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Definitely, it is a private college so the fees is are much higher than that of other government and semi government colleges. But the fees is actually feasible because the facilities provided by the college are extravagant. It provides free wifi, ac, and other luxuries. Scholarships are also provided for the meritorious students every year.
Fees and Financial Aid
I got 92.75% in class 12. My admission was through the fast track process. I didn't give any admission exams. I got 50% scholarship. 100% scholarships are available above 93% in 1 st year. The continuation of scholarship happens when the student secures his position in top 5% or 10% of the merit list.
Campus Life
Campus life is extraordinary. The University promotes equality and diversity amongst the students, faculty and staff and recognizes that people from different backgrounds through its well defined Equity, Diversity & Non-discriminatory policy. The college is very diverse as far as the people are concerned.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors are very frank, supportive and helpful.I've just completed my first year and made some of my seniors as my very good friend. There's no ragging and all. In case, seniors try to bully, the juniors have full right to complaints against them.
Exam Structure
Exams in amity university come with a lot of pressure and stress. Yes they are super hectic if you haven't started preparations earlier. In first sem, I have given 10 theory papers and 4 practicals and in second sem, 10 theory papers and 2 practicals, which is quite lengthy and hectic. Plus there are internals, project works. But if you give even an hour to study everyday, they won't be this much torturous which is completely true to every exam isn't it
Admission
I filled the form in the late july. But the forms are out from the month of may. The forms are filled online as well as offline. Offline forms are available in the admission block of the college. Administration is quite good. The staff is well cooperative. Even after filling the form online, the students have to visit the college for completion of the registration process. After completing the registrations, the student are then enrolled online and are given the details of their class and respective sections.
Faculty
The faculty and teaching is quite amazing. Teachers are well qualified and help the students in every aspect. Faculty feedback is also asked after the end of every semester. Students can give their feedbacks on the 'amizone'-the offical application of the college. Mentors are also provided to the students for the correct guidance. More than one faculty is assigned for each subject which is quite good.
