Remarks

The college has a healthy environment but needs a little revamp with regards to the infrastructure. The washrooms need to be replaced, projectors at most classrooms don't work, a better sound and mic system at the auditorium, and smooth functioning of the lift. College management needs to take preventive measures at the earliest.

Entrance Preview

Before applying for admission in AGBS, I appeared for the MAT exam. The admission process was I first wrote an essay, upon which I was later asked to wait for few days before my interview with the director.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum has been wonderfully structured. However, a change as per industry requirements would be a better option for students to cope in the industry. They could also include mock interview sessions in the 1st semester which would help students with poor communication improve themselves by the time they can go through the actual interviews.

Internships Opportunities

AGBS does provide students with internships in various brands and startups. The minimum stipend at students receives ranges from INR 2500 to a maximum of INR 5000 per month. The placement coordinator pays attention to every detail a student provides in the stream they want to intern in. To students confused about their streams are counseled and helped with.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement at AGBS never disappoints anyone. Companies like PwC, Flipkart, 3M, Byju's, etc visited our campus for the first time this year and have been pleased with the students hired. Every year students are helped with placements with a very satisfying package.

College Events

5

The college conducts various events over the semesters. The first is the APL conducted in October where students can bring out the hidden Milkha Singh, P T Isha, Usain Bolt, Samia Mirza, Ronaldo and Sachin out. The event is conducted just like IPL where players are bid for by captains of various teams ( best reason to interact with your seniors). November is when our inter college fest Arkio'ra happens. Here students are given tasks which are thought provoking and difficult to perform ( definitely exciting and good to brainstorm). There are various clubs in the college that help students bring out the best in them. The clubs are Amiconekt (Marketing) , AFC ( Finance), AHRC ( Human Resource), Techno Club ( operations). Apart from these students are given the opportunity to go out to various colleges and participate in their fest's just like building connections in the corporate this is just the first step at festivals.

Fee Structure And Facilities

In my opinion, the fee structure is feasible. Depending upon the financial background the fee structure may not be detailed explained. The detailed structure may be viewed on the college site or may be enquired with the college admission team. A time period of 15 days is given to pay the fee after which students have to pay a penalty per day as late fee submission.

Fees and Financial Aid

A loan facility is available in Amity Bangalore. Banks like Axis, HDFC, SBI, and many provide their services. The loan process is easy and if we are able to provide all the valid documents to the concerned bank then the loan will approve within 3 days.

Campus Life

2.5

My journey at AGBS has been beautiful with bittersweet memories. You find friends and classmates of different ethnicities. There is always healthy competition prevailing within the campus. Faculties support students in a way that you never feel left out. There is always a positive vibe at the campus. Students are given opportunities to showcase their hidden talents. You learn to behave a little more professional or atleast take the first step to enter the corporate world.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The campus doesn't have hostel facilities but helps students with finding PGs close to campus that is well furnished and quite feasible with all amenities. Contact numbers are provided by the team but do not hold responsible for the students' activities once out of campus. The canteen at our college finds new vendors every semester with a video variety provided.

Alumni/Alumna

The Alumni network is great at Amity. Communication with any of them never fails or disappoints. If you feel you need help with anything at all about college, contacting them may not give you a final answer but definitely help you go towards achieving what you want. Alumni help in getting information about what the industry expects of you and what you need to work upon during college.

Exam Structure

The exam is structured in the most peaceful manner with ample holidays to study for each exam. However, two specialization subjects should not be kept on the same day, since it gets difficult for students to remember everything. There are 2 schedules for the exam which is in the morning from 10 am - 1 pm and 2 pm - 5 pm. First-year students have their exams at a stretch with just public holidays as a gap for the exam.

Admission

I first called up college and spoke to Mr. Anand an executive at the college who guided me along the procedure and the process of acquiring admission. First, you fill the application form, write an essay and wait for a day or two before I got the call for the interview with the director. Once the interview took place, it took about 15 days to get the confirmation mail from the University.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty at AGBS has immense knowledge of the subject they have been assigned. They help students cope with their marks or with subjects they need help with. However, instead of PowerPoint teaching, it would be better if students were given practical exposure to subjects.

Placement Experience:

Placements in the college are good for marketing specialization. Compared to other specializations, from semester 2 itself, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Deloitte, KPMG, ICICI Bank, and HDFC Bank visit the campus. The highest package this year was 40 LPA, and the average package is around 6.5 LPA. The percentage of students getting placed is 70% for now. After getting the degree, selection in a good company is my plan.

The average package offered is moderate and there are limited opportunities for high paying roles compared to top tier colleges. Companies that visit the campus are mostly small to mid sized organizations. The placement cell is very supportive and conduct training sessions such as aptitude tests, mock interviews and soft skills development to prepare students for placements.

Placement Experience:

Placement in my college is decent, wiyh around 90% of students are getting placed. Students usually become eligible for placement in their final year and the college provides internships opportunities before that, which helps in gaining experience. Many companies visit to campus mainly from marketing and sales, along with some roles in HR and operations. The number of offer is good but option for finance and analytic are comparatively limited.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would like to rate the course 7 out of 10. Because as these is a distance learning many difficulties occur. I am doing a MBA in ksou after my graduation in b. Com. As ksou comes under UGT it is more helpful for the job seeker. As per my knowledge the faculty should conduct a more classes may be through online so that the working people can attend the classes from wherever they want. There are many distance learning courses in ksou academic platform but they are not handling in a accuracy. They take a lot of time to announce a results, even to conduct a exams they take a lot of time.
